The insane Premier League record Liverpool's Mohamed Salah can set against Manchester United
There's no question that Mohamed Salah is world class.
The Liverpool attacker is leading the Premier League top scorer chart with 17 goals and 7 assists while he's also second, only behind Sergio Aguero, when you look at how many minutes of playing time it takes each player to find the back of the net.
And that is just a snapshot of just how good he is.
Consider that the Egyptian superstar recorded a 44-goal haul in his first season at Anfield.
He scored 32 of those goals in the Premier League to become the domestic competition's record one-season goal scorer - clinching both the PFA and FWA Footballer of the Year awards while toppling a host of other records on his way to that achievement too.
This season, as is clear from above, he has also continued in the same sensational form that saw the Reds reach the Champions League final in May and he has led Jürgen Klopp's side on a legitimate title charge in the 2018/19 campaign.
That title challenge has seen Liverpool go toe-to-toe with Manchester City in a battle for top spot and both sides are currently level on 65 points, though the Reds have a game in hand which is set to be played on Sunday against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Now, Salah's incredible performances in a Liverpool shirt have seen him score 49 goals for the Reds in the Premier League so far.
If the frontman scores against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side on Sunday it will mean he has netted 50 goals in the domestic league for Liverpool in just 63 games and that will make him the fastest player to reach the milestone for a single club.
Of course, you'll probably remember that Salah already hit that milestone for Premier League goals against Crystal Palace last month but two of those came when he played for Chelsea.
