It’s disrespectful they put the cup at a time to impact national leagues who pay the wages and all costs. They’re being difficult for the sake of it (the organisers and media supporters of it)

Hopefully Egypt lose the next game and Salah comes back for the Arsenal game

It's quite a good scenario for us.  As if Egypt get knockout early we know from experience it can knock the confidence of Salah.  But a little injury and they get KOed whilst he's on the side lines should psychologically make him come back very confident and a point to prove. If you know what I mean!

Oh yeah a month will cover the full tournament so that ship has sailed. He will be gutted.

Clearly Egypt were going to try and rush him back given half the chance and now he's back here the club have looked at it and seen its worse than they were letting on.

To me seems like the agent trying to get him back to us and letting the fans know why they have done so

Not sure that this injury for Mo is 'excellent' as some are claiming but fair play to those that think like that.

Last time Mo went through Afcon heartache his form fell off an absolute cliff. Hopefully Jürgen and the players can pick him up this time.

At the last AFCON he played every minute, which included (I think, from memory but not checked) 2 knock out games that went to extra time. He came back knackered and disappointed due to losing in the final.
This time he can't be blamed when Egypt go out as he's been injured.

Trying to be positive, he'll probably want to be playing at the top level with no contract discussions to distract him until after the next tournament (summer 25 in Morocco). Sign a 2 or 3 year extension Mo, you can still lead Egypt to victory in 25.
