I don't put him in the same league as Sakho here mate, Sakho had multiple disciplinary problems (at last count it was 3), this is a little different but I totally get your point and much more of this mud slinging will definitely see him fall into that category. No matter how talented you can't have a rebel seemingly riding roughshod over Jürgen.
The thing is I don't see Cou as being a rebel, I think most of this is engineered from his agent.
So disappointing and like you the more this turns sour the more it obviously looks like he'll leave and unfortunately that will be the lasting memory for so many.
Agreed. For me it doesn't change much at all. All he has done is put down in writing what he has been talking about with Klopp for the past few months and what he has wanted to do ever since he arrived at Liverpool. As long as FSG hold their stance and Coutinho doesn't kick up a fuss at the training ground, this changes nothing and confirms what Coutinho has said at the start: I'll only go to Barcelona if a deal can be found 'amicably'. If, however, he starts talking sh*t about Klopp publicly, that changes things. The comments about him having problems with his position haven't come from him directly and as long as he doesn't say something in front of a camera, I'm just seeing it as bullshit coming from his agent / family / whoever is leaking stuff.
Yes, the timing of the request is poor, very poor. But all the namecalling is getting absolutely ridiculous and everyone doing it is a f**king hypocrit as they'd be cheering like a little kid when Van Dijk signs who has behaved as an even bigger c**t to get his team to allow him to come to us. Yet everyone seems to be totally alright with that and actually encouraged him doing it.
Not sure how the timing of the statement made by FSG would've made it any different either. Before or after the request, it's Coutinho who comes out worse, not FSG.
