If it doesn't look like Van Dyke will come we may end up buying both.

Welcome to Anfield, enjoy the free goals, but expect us to always score more than you.

I think 60m+Origi+Add ons should be enough.
Origi is better than Ox and he is going for 40m.
+10m if we make it to semi finals of champions league.
+5m if he has a ratio of 1 goal every 3 games or better.
+5m if he gets 30 or more games in a season.

If they don't want Origi I can see this one collapsing because I can't imagine us paying the 100m in cash.

No doubt. Our matches are already much more entertaining than most Premiership matches.

€100M no way we will pay £90M, oh well let's go all in for Ox.

Hoping you are wrong here. I mean no player is actually worth some of the fees going around, but in context with the market, this is the kind of player worth spending that much on. And if you can bid 90 million, what's 10 million more. It's kind of like getting caught in a downpour without an umbrella on a fairly long walk. Once you're soaked, what difference is an umbrella really going to make?

My guess is that the actual agreement will be somewhat nuanced, with add-ons and such.

And I still don't think any of this spending means Coutinho leaves. He will come back next week and go straight into training

doesn't quite jibe with a group flying out to meet Monaco reps and being in talks with them right now.

      Yea...because clubs usually bid 70+m on a player that's not a priority.

Good article in how Lemar would fit into our side: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/08/29/thomas-lemar-could-bring-liverpool-joins-would-fit-Jürgen-klopps/

I especially agree with this part: "Rather than simply providing cover for Coutinho, it is far more likely that Lemar will operate in either the other central midfield slot ahead of Jordan Henderson, as one of the wide forwards when Salah or Mane are unavailable, or in Firmino's false-nine role when he's not around."

So more like the #7 (if we call it that these days), sometimes #8, something 10 or 11, and even 9 if we need it (but we probably wouldn't.

If you are a tactics geek, you'll want to read the article.

All rumours and theories for me..maybe he ceased to be a priority after being told 100mn is his price. I hope we get him though.

Barcelona's alleged interest in Lemar is worrying. Being the petulant children they are, seems they'd gladly throw however much money at Monaco just to make sure he doesn't join us.

On the other hand, if we end up w Keita and Lemar after they had registered interest in both players...would be a glorious middle finger to that club.

IF (big if) we really did fly out to negotiate....then there's no reason the deal doesn't get done. We wouldn't have flown out if they weren't willing to sell at some price. And we'd have to be willing to pay top dollar I'd think otherwise why go through the trouble?

But if we did fly people out...do we really have the personnel to also be working on Ox and VVD at the same time? I highly doubt it which tells me that VVD is likely the odd one out and amazingly, the player we probably need the most.

They have to buy someone -expensive- to appease their fans. They (Spanish media) are saying that since Liverpool wont sell Coutinho they see him as a plan b (c more likely since we got Keita).

He wasn't....pretty much the consensus is that we still haven't bid for him. Waiting on Soton to tell us it's ok to bid.
