ive seen lemar clips, he seems like a very good player. im sure he'll end up being fantastic.

But could we not use that money to lure Sanchez to us? That could be a Cantona to united level transfer for us ;D

Take everything else away I don't think Arsenal will sell him tomorrow.
Publicity wise it's suicide for them with their fans.. they will keep him even if he leaves on a free and they'll gamble to try to get back in the CL

No chance they let him go to a rival - us or city

      In my opinion

But, but we are not Arsenal's rival. West Brom, Bournemouth, Stoke, etc. are Arsenal's rival. ;)

Just wondering, how would some feel about Ox transfer if we fail to land Lemar because of us not willing to meet Monaco's valuation?

if that's true it's a case of dotting Is and crossing Ts

Agreed, what's your thoughts though, do you think this is the replacement for Coutinho or actually is being brought in to play in the squad with him?

I'm not on Twitter to be honest mate so I don't know what's reliable or not but if I'm honest I'm not 100% sure what it means if true.

You could read it either way... We could be spending before we sell, or we could be looking long term and developing the side with Coutinho in it still for 12 months, letting Lamar settle for a year before Coutinho goes.. Adding to Kieta coming as well.

      I'd hope for the latter.

My gut? I'd be surprised if they sold after the public statements.. So I'd think we may well be doing the majority of two years work in one. Coutinho to stay...

I am curious to know too. Can he play as a playmaker #10 (Coutinho) or is he more of a ball carrying explosive player (Sanchez)?

two years work in one does sound about right and seems to suggest what was reported last summer. That Jürgen was prepared to fight for the top 4 with what he had as long as he was given the budget for the summer after. What proved to be quite a gamble could be paying off for us right now and would further add weight to Jürgen's words about CL footy being needed to be that final carrot. Think his words were "sure great coach, great team, nice football, but do you play CL, then no deal" or something like that.

It's exactly what should have happened last time we had CL footy to be honest, lessons learned and I'm willing to forgive anyone one mistake.

This needs to be done quickly. We just paid 40m for Ox and City are offering Arsenal a deal which is Sterling and 30m for Sanchez.
That puts 70m in Arsenals pocket and they could go for Lemar with that money if we don't land him soon.
They only have to fork out about 20m more to meet Monaco's evaluation.
That would leave that with the front 3,

      Sterling   Lacazette    Lemar

No thanks, get it done pool.

There could be a scenario tomorrow where Barcelona agree to step aside in a Lemar deal on the condition that we allow Coutinho to leave to them.

Big day tomorrow and it will tell us all we need to know about which way the club wants to go.

Do we just buy The Ox and keep Coutinho and end there?

Personally I am convinced that any further purchases will mean the end of Coutinho.

If we can get in Lemar, VVD and AOC then maybe that wouldn't be a disaster.

Would be lovely to have all 3 and keep our magician on top of that too though.

Way I see it playing out as well, they step aside and let us sign Lamar, they then sign Coutinho on the friday.
