Worst game I've seen Sadio play.

Disappointing first half that ,great goal by Phil,& a F***ing scabby goal buy the geordies,lucky goal but they all count,need to up the tempo in the second half,come on reds.

That's the third goal conceded this season where a through ball has gone through the centre backs, 2 v City as well.

Got to play in to out not out to in, got to force attackers on the outside channels not down the middle

Well it's clear the c backs are not communicating, and they aren't learning from one match to the next!
How can they be this bad after all this time together ?

Not really created that much today, a couple of half openings where we should have got a shot off but apart from that we've been poor going forward (bar the Coutinho magic of course). Obviously, the standard defensive mistake chucked in there as well to top the half off.

Consider we're clearly going to give another goal away, there needs to a big improvement going forward if we're to win this one.

To be in a situation where one of our central defenders can't train and is caked on painkillers but still must play because of a complete botched job in the market over the summer is a tragic, pathetic state to be in and we're paying the price for it.

We always have to score at least 2 goals to win the game.

We also hit the post missed from 5 yards and should have had a peno.

Newcastle are average.

That was pretty dire to be fair. Think we've had a poor showing from Mane (I've been saying for a while he's not performing his best atm and it's continuing) and the same for Sturridge, Gomez/Wijnaldum.

Think Henderson and Moreno have done reasonably well in a poor half from our lads. Players like Wijnaldum should be coming off that pitch a bit disappointed with themselves that Shelvey has looked so good, decent player but so is anyone given that amount of space.

I'd take Wijnaldum off and try Firmino in midfield because we need solid possession in there and at the moment none of our lads are able to control the tempo or pace of our attacks, it's all so fractured and sporadic, we need a base.

Well apparently there isn't any better out there, the club knows that for sure having watched them all 500 million times.

Mane is having a bit of a stinker so far.

We are always the better team but we just can't close the game for some reason.

We never really look in full control of a game. Its F***ing annoying and it’s all down to the mentaiity of the players

Newcastle staying really compact, hard to break down. Defending well.
Mane can't control a ball for his life today, and with things so tight, is giving it away a lot.
Sturridge is quiet, had a chance, thought he could've got a better shot away, hit into ground. Not bad, but not great.
Gini is quiet, Hendo doing well.
Gomez showing he's limited going forward, maybe Milner on for him?
AOC has been poor so far imo, not sure would bring him on.  Can, Firmino, Solanke all options.

I think Matip is better with Klavan than Lovern. Klavan may not be that good but IMHO is better than Lovren. Personally I would play Gomez next to Matip & Milner on the right.
