This is excellent news. In all my years supporting LFC this is the most excited Iv been. We are going to have a really strong squad to challenge for major trophies next season.

You can add Fekir to the mix too mate.

If Fekir happened, we may not have had the funds for a keeper. A much more pressing issue.

That represents the biggest risk to our season (assuming we bring Alisson home). City have Aguero and Jesus, two quality options for the 9 shirt (with Jesus able to play wide also). We need to match that imo

Great show of intent if it comes off.  We are certainly building a team to be feared.  Tine to let Migs go and 2nd choice between Karius & Ward.

I think so mate! Never feel sorry for em, the lad probably earns 50k a week he’ll be fine no matter what happens the poor little lad.

But Firmino doesn't actually play as the No 9, that role is taken by Salah on the pitch.

I'd bin Migs AND Karius, the first because he's sh*te and the second because he deserves a chance to rebuild his career somewhere else. We then have Ward as #2 and promote one of the academy lads as #3 or buy someone else with experience.

As for Karius, yes I think we probably got what we paid for. I’ve got no problem with him being the number 2 and rebuilding his confidence from there.

He could do some modelling if he feels bored by lack of playing time.

Given our problems since Rafa left in the defensive department, you'd have to say that was a sensible re-investment.

I felt sorry for him after the final, but at the end of the day, he was likely never going to be the top end keeper that everyone wanted. If you can improve your team, I think you do it and Karius will either want to fight to show he's worthy of the number 2 position, or he'll fold. If he folds, then he was never good enough for us anyway. If he stays and fights, then he's really not a bad option for a backup keeper?

i was against this signing but now bbc are reporting that we have agreed with roma. so its just matter of time.
Hope he proves me wrong and he is gonna get my full support for whats that worth.
