Are too many of our players thinking about Wednesday night!

Don't think so. Palace are clearly parking the bus when we have the ball but are targetting Zaha/TAA with long balls. Effective tactics, up to us to break them down.

He has been getting targetted ever since getting in the side at the start of the season. Make lateral / diagonal runs in front or in behind him and he hasn't got a clue what to do, he's just not moving good enough or anticipating runs well enough.

Twice in 15 minutes he got caught out.

Henderson got schooled there by the long ball, Trent again loses his runner. You can expect Karius to come there, pro-active goalkeepers always do. Mignolet would've been rooted to his line and allowed Zaha to come at him 1 vs 1.

Inconsequential I know but even during those first 15 minutes against Porto away last month, the Portugese rare advances into our half were always targeted on his side as well. Seems to be a universal tactic against us in England and on the continent.

After first ten minutes thought the game would go like this; 0:0 at half time, as Palace tire in the second we'd get the breakthrough, they'd open out chasing the game & we'd score another couple.



Their tactics have paid off, thought we'd have been better at dealing with Zaha & Benteke.

That penalty was a questionable call. A mid-air collision that had Zaha being the aggressor is not a penalty. Plus he's already played the ball.
