What a squad we're building now and I'm really excited. I think 2 of our new signings we may have to be a bit patient with is Fabinho and Shaqiri. Jürgen has already mentioned about Fabinho that he may need time to adjust. Although Shaqiri has PL experience he will need time to get used to our way of playing. He was Stokes main man practically but hardly showed it probably down to the way Stoke played and the sh*t he had around him. So I can see Jürgen using these guys in the same way he used Robertson and Ox last season.
We've now got world class between the sticks which will help our defence, not that VVD will need it but will help Lovren I'm sure. Expecting Robbo to push on from last season which is exciting and also we may see a bit more from Clyne. I wouldn't be against using Clyne for the 1st part of the season and then using TAA and his energy for the latter stages of the season. Trent is still young and although he has the talent we still need to be wary of is age and the risks of "burn out" for this kid...he's the future of this club.
I think Keita is going to make all the difference to our midfield. He's shown the signs of his commitment, passing and link up play already and that's just pre season. I think our front 3 are going to love him. I think Hendo has still got a big part to play in our midfield also. Maybe Jürgen has brought in these players to play his preferred formation of 4 2 3 1, who knows but we'll see.
Our front 3 is a no brainer if we play the 4 3 3. I'm sure alot of people out there maybe thinking the same as me and hoping that Danny Sturridge can have an injury free season. He's shown already in pre season that the sublime touch is still in there and the finishing and I'm really crossing my fingers for him. I'd love to see that dance alot this season from him. He has certainly been unlucky with injuries and whether that's in his head or he's just made of glass, you can't deny the guys talent.
If this all gels I think we've got a better than average chance of No.19. City haven't bought anyone as yet and I think they'll have some issues up top. Jesus didn't cover himself in glory at the WC and neither did Aguero for that matter but I'm sure Pep has got something up his sleeve. Not worried about the Mancs, I think it's round about Jose 3rd season at a club that things start to implode. I think the Spuds may struggle a little. New stadium, Kane looks out on his feet, no new signings as yet. The Chavs maybe the ones to watch and Arsenal may have a couple seasons that the Mancs had when Whiskey nose left now that Wenger has gone. This season maybe our perfect opportunity.
