I still maintain I picked the right game to watch.
It was absolutely thrilling, insane, one of those games where you'd say "
I was there" (if of course you were actually there - and not watching it in bed like was
). There were 4 goals in the first 11 minutes! That set the tone and it rarely let up.
There was VAR, there was City scoring close to 90mins, where the Eithad went utterly ballistic - only for a complete turn around 2 minutes later. It was so emotional, so crazy and very exciting. And of course, we all saw City brought back down to earth. Quadruple my foot.
Whereas we were 2-0 up and it was practically game over.
Anyway, that result either fires City to greater things or it mentally scars them for a while. Whilst I think City will look to destroy Spurs, I have to remind myself that City this season were
aaaaalll about the Champions League. So I think that will take some of the wind out of their sails. I hope.
