Well, that was a satisfying 1-0 win. I thought it wasn't as nervous as it looked as we seemed to be in control except for 2 or 3 cocky moments.

I think poor is over the top, lid.

It can be a lot, lot better but when the energy and effort drops I think poor is a wise choice but only then. Get what you're saying about Trent but aside from that he ran the line well enough even though the midfield weren't finding him enough. He hit the bar aswell and looks a lot more like a man in there as opposed to a boy like he did last year.

We grinded that out today and Brighton should find themselves lucky it was only 1 nil if you ask me. There were two stone wall pens not awarded to us (handball and GK foul on Bobby) and if refs are sending Jagielka and Vardy off for fouls that are clear attempts for the ball but deemed dangerous then that first foul on Millie is a red.

Look at today with a glass half full type of view and take pleasure in the fact that we have won three, conceded f**k all, City have dropped two points, we're top of the league and we can only get better.

Forgot about that foul on Milner. Gutless ref once again.

Type of match the last few seasons we would have drawn...those draws last year is what killed us so though not thrilled with the performance it's an encouraging sign.

I seem to matter very much to you other wise why was your one of your first post back directed at me and trying to goad me with your so called "Plus Whore" thing...?

As for the whole Back up your argument about "space" and making "penetrating passes" I am quite happy to stand by that, I feel there are enough people out there who know what I mean....

I am also quite happy for you to make a jack ass of your self replying to it without feel i have to reply to you....

Well you are a plus whore - you try to pick arguments with certain people and lick others arses to get pluses.

      Sad really.

And are there "enough people out there who know what I mean"?
      Really?

There were loads on here who said we should bid a fortune for Jack Rodwell as well.

You can't pass into space except as a complete waste, when there is no space.

And now you can only back up your own argument with "enough people out there who know what I mean".
I'm sure there are plenty of other stupid people out there, but it doesn't make you right, it just means other stupid people agree with you.

You need to remember that having an opinion is fine, asserting it as fact, less so, and when the opinion is absolute bollocks, it has no validity.

      Poor performance, far too sloppy.

Getting a bit fed up with Trent picking up a yellow every game at the moment for a cheap foul.

If the choice is between the opposition getting a dangerous attack with our players out of position and Trent getting a yellow, I'll take the yellow any day.

3 points is all I'm bothered about.

As a Brighton fan I am satisfied that the team did themselves proud against a side that will probably end up Champions this season. At least we made you work for it!

      Welcome mate.  xxxxx:action-smiley-065:

Good game today. You were well organised, and gave us very little opportunity to score. Could have easily grabbed a draw on another day, so we consider it a relief to keep those 3 points today.

Most importantly, big ups for destroying Utd last week!!!  :lmao:

It was a b***ard thing to do and we have needed to do a lot more b***ard type things for a long time now.

      Took one for the team.

He was, and has been great in our last 3 matches as the 6, but as much as I love Wijnaldum, I still feel Fabinho would offer a lot more on the defensive and distribution part. Hope we get to see Fabinho soon.

After a decent first 45 that second half was a bit meh.
Should have scored a few more in reality but sometimes when so many players are slightly off you get performance’s like this but importantly unlike other seasons we didn’t drop any points.

Mane, Keita and Trent’s passing was way off today.
Robertson didn’t really have any end product in his crossing, Salah and Bobby look like they are still trying to play into form post WC.

      Onwards and upwards.

He also did more as an 8 (when Hendo came on) than Keita did in the entire match!

Poor performance but we got the 3 points and that's the main thing, getting a bit worried about the sloppy play though.

Agreed. No team dominates every week. Even the all time greats have mediocre matches. In the Immortal words of the Fightin' Irish.

5 years since we won our first three games of the season. 1-0, 1-0, 1-0 that season. 4-0, 2-0, 1-0 this season.
3 years ago was luck, we are winning because of quality now.
