Gentle warning to proponents of heavy metal football in the second leg. It may well come down to a cautious tactical chess game with sideways and backward passes as with some typical knockout games like the WC.
If it does, please don't be too disappointed. Just bash Jordan the fall guy for this type of game.
The 0-0 penalty scenario mooted by some of us wouldn't surprise me if it happens. Both teams have quality and still everything to play for. Minimising silly mistakes will also be a priority.
All I'm saying is that, please be patient with the lads and the coaching staff if we don't get entertained in the heavy metal, smash and grab, risky Hollywood moves manner.
If it takes caution to win a game, so be it. For those expecting full throttle every single game, this may turn otherwise. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. But I thought we fans should have a more balanced expectation on how we should approach this game, as long as we secure a win.
Again "back and side passes" is not all necessarily bad. I think at times they allow our players to rest, draw out the opponent or create spaces. They do serve different purposes. So long as it's a positive result, I'll a boring win all day.
