Yeah, they've been really good in the CL, need to go out there prepared for a tough match.

One thing that might stand to us is having been in the final just last year, and gone through the massive buildup etc. before.

And we've strengthened since then too, no Karius or Lovren this time round.

Brilliant to have the final to look forward to :)

Spuds have been skating  on thin ice last two rounds mate, they got lucky V City although City rode their luck too, only a VAR decision got them through,

Against Ajax the width of the post gave them a lifeline and subsequently they got their winner, but they did well to get back parity tbf,
Ajax at times ran all over them and only a lack of composure , youthful inexperience at this level and perhaps a good leader/ General on the pitch let them down,

Despite doing well to reach the dizzy heights of a CL final, i think it will prove a bridge too far, enjoy the experience Spuds, cos you ain't winning this one !!

Don't want to big up Spuds, and think we have the edge on them, but they beat some decent teams on the way and have given us some tough matches in the PL recently - so we need to be well up for it. And I think the lads and Jürgen will be, after such a brilliant season, they'll be determined to add a trophy.

Though how amazing would it be to go the final with the PL title in the bag, am not holding out much hope Citeh will slip at Brighton, but after the results this week, am more in the 'you never know' camp than I was before...

Can't disagree with you bud if I'm honest, i just think we will want it more,  particularly if we were to miss out to City, but even if City did slip up(Pleeeeeeese) we will want it even more to bring home the double,
Not saying it will be easy by any stretch,  but  i do believe our class will shine through.

Question for you guys. If you could pick right now. Would you take winning the league or CL?

You should of put a third option in and my option would be to win both.

What a great question to be sitting here in the second week of May and pondering over!

League.  And that would apply to the majority of LFC fans as well.

      Agreed.

We need to get that monkey off our backs.

It's unbelievable that 97 points (potentially) won't win it.

Even pre season if anyone said would you take 94 points I'm pretty sure 98% would say yes thinking that would be enough to win the league.

Insane the operative word. Even though United never in it for me it's been the best ever season by a distance. Glad I'm not a Liverpool or City fan as not sure I could take it.  :D I'd need the Valium  :lmao:

Whoever gets it has truly earned it.

If another team beats (potential) 97 points, you've just got to hold your hands up and say "fair play".

I agree, and not having fans say we lost it here/there or anywhere. Both sides have had lucky/bad decisions against them. The Premier League is simply the best.

Yup. Really is a year where a team has won it rather than a team losing it. The level of consistency City have set over the last 2 seasons is extraordinary.

      Come on Brighton!

Since I could not make the trip from Mississippi to Madrid I used the money a flight would cost to put $750.00 on the spuds at +285 and $750.00 to draw at +265.   I hope beyond hope I lose but if I win my plan is to use any winnings towards my first trip to Anfield next year .

That makes it even harder for the rest of the top six. The playing field is turning uneven.
