I was pretty fu**ed last night and canā€™t remember much.

But I swear we were kicking long balls all the time?

Haha, yeah, we looked just as nervy as Spurs (probably the reason why we just punted the ball long) and it wasn't our best performance when in possession, but defensively, we were very solid!

Same mate. I canā€™t remember much of the game at all and read this morning that it wasnā€™t the best spectacle. From my recollection we took the lead and never really looked under the cosh too much and then saw it out.

The parade today will be mad.

The only worries was the first half throughball to Son when they lured VVD out leaving TAA 1v1, and the other time was the Eriksen free kick.

Overjoyed..as much for the fans who travelled from the 4 corners and those mad lads and the Ā£40 car. Spurs fans did their best as well to be there. I thought it would be a classic but the 3 week wait after an exhausting season took it's toll but we hung in there thru sheer will power. Somebody said it might come down to will power in the end and he was right.

On the future it is without a doubt Liverpool V Manchester. City swept the board domestically and will be back for more. We showed we can live with them. Now we have to overcome them and we can...and we will.

      Wow,
Thatā€™s so special, brought tears to my eyes I donā€™t mind admitting, as most of you will know Iā€™ve been one of Hendoā€™s biggest critics, but no one is more pleased to admit that he has shut us all up, for what this lad has been through from almost being sold during Brendanā€™s tenure, all his injuries, the doubting of his talent, proving his doubters wrong time and again, his ability to step up two or three levels under JĆ¼rgen, his leadership on and off the pitch, his work outside of his footballing duties, ie; charities,

He had a pair of very large boots to fill in his captaincy and if we are all honest heā€™s done that very well indeed, I am genuinely extremely happy for him, and so proud that he has written his name into LFC history by lifting the European cup as club captain,

      Well done Jordan Henderson.

Pretty twisted myself last night  & at one point I could have sworn I was watching the match on multiple tvā€™s
But watching it again earlier we did punt a fair few balls upfield but hey we took our chances spurs didnā€™t and we defended very well thanks to the lads at the back.

Thinking about the game, and we were pretty sh*te werenā€™t we? So were Spurs, and look we got it over the line, Iā€™m not in here to critically analyze the performance, F**k that today of all days! But there needs to be serious looking into the final going forward, 3 weeks was too long, momentum was sucked out of both teams.

But everyone complaining about how poor we played are the same tools who fell over themselves to praise United for ā€œwinning uglyā€ or ā€œdoing what champions needs toā€. I donā€™t often agree with Michael Owen as a pundit but he hit the nail on the head last night, this Liverpool team has entertained all season in he league to miss out by just 1 point, if they have to win ugly to bring that big shiny b***ard home then Iā€™m all for it!

I know it sounds a bit mad, but that early goal kind of messed us up I think.

We got caught between wanting to play our normal style and protecting our lead for a while afterwards, and we never really got going with any fluency.
No doubt the long break had an effect as well.

No matter, number 6 is in the bag.

A few lads who were very keen to head up to Liverpool for the parade when pissed have spent the morning walking around ashen faced, mumbling about "not having time"  :lmao:
Still, it was a great night, and I'll always remember it.

Well in gaffer, and the lads.
      Did us proud.

I've seen some people calling it a boring final, but guess what, it brought us the big ears. Such different dimensions we can play with. What a wonderful defensive display yesterday. Our defensive line was spot F***ing on.  I remember, at one of their corners, one of our players ran back in to the line after realizing that they are gonna flick the ball to their player, which eventually led them to have an offside.

I'm BwP (Bursting with Pride). Huge thanks to everyone involved for making us so happy.

And a special thought for Sean Cox, his wife, children and extended family.

The match? I'll always think of it as an "Italian Job" - score early, don't create much after that, absorb pressure and defend rock-solidly, threaten occasionally, then seal the deal with a second goal late on. I'd say Inter Milan of the 1960s won their European Cups like this.

It's a tribute to the way Klopp has changed things this season that we could lift the big prize based on a defensive masterclass.

Anyone else BwP? :kop5cf8koxp6: :aaliverpool2xt1: :scarf:

Just dawned on me that we now play vs Chelsea in the Super Cup (Istanbul) on 14 August.. just after the start of the new season. Wonder how that will impact things. Also a nice warm up game vs Man City of course in the Charity Shield. Will be nice to keep picking up trophies (albeit the Charity Shield isn't considered such) to drive forward that winning mentality.

Could be a great start to the new season!!
