I just had possibly the best weekend of my life.
Traveled from Lisbon to Lima to watch Flamengo play our first Libertadores final in 38 years. I was in pure despair for most of the match but as you can imagine those two late goals sent us all to football heaven.
If anyone wants to have an idea of what this win meant for Flamengo, have a look at the reaction of three famous former players that came through our youth ranks:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mfr_gqZyPiY&feature=emb_logoAnd then less than 24 hours later, Palmeiras (who are 2nd in the league) failed to beat Gremio and that meant we confirmed our league title with 4 games still to go, whilst we were all still celebrating the Libertadores. I was in fact inside the same stadium, with a Peruvian friend watching a local league match, when I received the news that we had also won the league.
Simply surreal, the kind of stuff that probably won't ever happen again in my lifetime and I'm just so glad I was able to enjoy it all.
