Watford boss Nigel Pearson says Gerard Deulofeu has a "bad knee injury" and the club will know more about it in the next 48 hours.

The winger was taken off on a stretcher after twisting awkwardly in the first half.

Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk, talking to Match of the Day: "Credit to Watford, they played well, a lot of fight, very disciplined and scored three goals - that's the reality, we couldn't find a way through. It was difficult and we have to do better.

"Two throw-ins... we have to look at it, there is no reason for panic. We don't want to concede, we look at it but we don't have to panic.

Just hovered over each player for MOTM - couldn't find a name worthy of clicking on for a few seconds!  Gave it to Virgil van Dijk simply because I thought everyone else was complete sh*te.

Disappointed in the result obviously but kind of saw it coming.  Not been playing brilliant for a few weeks and to be honest, being 20 points ahead of everyone else is hardly a massive motivation to go out and tw*t relegation fodder.

I hope Watford stay up and I didn't want the undefeated record to go against Everton or Man City so.... not massively disheartened basically.  All seems fair enough.  3-0 though taking the piss!

Had to happen sometime and let’s be honest, that was bad. Not always a bad thing though as it may give the lads the kick on for the CL second leg.
