Gaming is all done online, grandad. No need to take your Playstation pad over to your mates anymore  ;D

But seriously it would definitely tempt a lot of people. No title won in 30 years. Even I'd be tempted to get my mates round / arrange something. I wouldn't like, but if there was one scenario where I would then that would be it

Yes I do know that boy, I'm not that bloody old! ;-) but its still more fun to actually play against some one who is there isn't it? My point is that if someone is going to be so stupid then they are going to be so stupid, its like all those fuckwits still going to the pub etc

That makes sense, by 30th April things should be settling down a little bit I hope.

I'd arranged with my sons to watch the winning match, whenever it was.

My youngest was going to fly home, and we were going to make a night of it.

Probably won't happen now, and that makes me a bit sad, but another arrangement is doing it by skype.
Won't be the same, but it'll be something.

I think the fact it looks as though they plan to finish when it's safe to do so is the best bit of news. I'd rather wait longer & win it properly than win it under a closed door / lockdown scenario.

Also gives everyone (well, reds) something to look forward to once this sh*t show is finally over

I still think we'll be looking at a restart in June personally.

Things are going to get worse before they get better.

I hope so but just like April 4th I wouldn't get hung up about the date to be honest. Everyone just kicking the can down the road for now.

yeah, that is a good news, and makes sense, I'm just annoyed they couldn't have suspended the season a few days earlier, the defeat to Atletico still annoys me as if we'd had Allison in goal then we win that game but hey ho, sh*t happens. Normally you have other games and wins to erase that bad feeling but its festering a bit for me at the moment.

More important to get back to normal asap, with as few fatalities as possible, with everyone keeping well. The football season being completed and the Reds being crowned champions in front of their own fans !

No, not really, there's only so much I can read and hear about Corona virus, it's quite boring and I hate this doom and gloom.

Obviously it's sad that anyone dies but thankfully it's not personally affected me yet, touch wood. I suspect my daughter currently has the virus but she's better now, 3rd day, more than likely I'll get it as well.

Well at least one thing is for sure, this virus can be added to the list of things to have had a bigger impact on the Premier League than Everton.

hopefully everyone is well this morning. The situation in Italy is a vivid reminder of what may come if we don't reduce all social contact regardless of being old or young or physically well. I would hate to think that I had passed this on to a single person so I am at home and I will stay here for as long as possible and if anyone else can do the same then they should. Others are not so lucky and will have to go out to work so the more of us who stay at home the less risk they will be at. I only watch the catch up news on the Virus now I don't need to know what Gary Neville or Lineker have to say on it or the increasing list of Celebs declaring they are self isolating. The more we do now the quicker we can get back to preparing ourselves for number 19.

I did say that all the players and staff need to be tested on the day of the match, if they are clear then they can work/play, if not they go into self isolation, what's the issue with that?

So you think there would be time for tests to be taken and results ready all on the same day as a match? Not to mention the fact that if it's an away game then the team would likely have travelled the day before so by that point, if someone tests positive on the day of the match then there's a good chance they would have spread it among the team by that point.

Not a cat in hells chance will tests be carried out on the day of the game, it's simply not advisable or possible to be testing the entire team and getting the results all in a matter of hours as well as preparing for the game.

      Completely unrealistic.

I don't need to know what Gary Neville or Lineker have to say on it or the increasing list of Celebs declaring they are self isolating.

Well maybe you should because Neville in particular is doing a damn sight more than many others who are supposed to be running the damn country.

Gary Neville has actually been great - He's opened up his two Manchester hotels for NHS staff to use free of charge and confirmed that all of his employees will get their full wage.

He's doing much more to help than our Royal Family are, with far fewer resources

The test takes 2 hours to perform, you could be doing these on a daily basis, it is easily done.

I wasn't aware that the Royal family have any hotels, what exactly do you expect a 93 year old monarch to be doing at this time??

It is a good gesture by Gary, but all the hotels are empty at the moment anyway, I'm sure he's getting some nice compensation for this, he certainly should be.

Ah socialism the politics of so so much envy. The Queen is 93 years old, what do you expect her to be doing, going around house to house?  If you despise the monarchy because its all inherited then you must despise your own children who are inheriting your business from you, or would that make you a sanctimonious hypocrite!
