Up to 4,000 spectators in Tier 1 areas.
Up to 2,000 spectators in Tier 2 areas.
Seems a little bit peculiar in that surely you could fit more in Anfield than at Tranmere but at least it's a start.
Be interesting to see what tier Liverpool go into now. If it was just on number of cases then you could argue they would have a good chance of Tier 1 as cases have been falling for about 8 weeks now. However, the problem might be that the hospital situation is a bit more saturated than other areas so that might go against it.
Also not sure what it means about people travelling from higher risk areas. Assume that won't be allowed.
Was looking for this as well. I would have thought away supporters at the ground would come some time later, not straight away....hey?
I noticed it was 4000/2000 or 50 percent, whichever was smaller. That part I guess is for non-league grounds and such.
For American football, after several weeks I'm starting to notice some atmosphere returning. At first it was like people were sitting on their hands, not sure if they were to make any noise or not. Interested to see what 2 or 4000 in Anfield, distanced and scattered throughout the ground will sound like.
I went to an auto race here in September, reduced capacity, and at first stewards tried to keep people from congregating, but eventually gave up on that. Interested to see how this is policed at football grounds.
