Arsenal like night and day in terms of confidence from before Arteta came in. Their goal was a good goal, not an indictment on a right back who can't be expected to cover the entire half of the pitch on his own.
Some of you are overreacting about a young, backup right back. He has shown a lot of promise but players his age are typically going to have ups and downs. He has given away possession a few times early, but also showed a brilliant piece of skill in keeping a ball alive on the wing and sending a ball into the area to cause some problems.
I mentioned before about the odds being against us, and really what I've seen so far is that the touch, timing and understanding in combination play is just lacking a bit, especially in build-up play. I thought this actually started to look a better in the final 10 minutes so there could still be something in this for us.
Still the same team that just won the league in runaway fashion - enough about "we should buy players" - please!
