After the stoke game there was a feeling of rock bottom and we were asking ourselves what now then. There wasn’t much light at the end of the tunnel.

Today is more of a what the f**k. Lots of emotions but confused more than anything.

Both performances were sh*te and both were completely inexcusable. But, despite that sh*t show, we’re still the best team in the country and we still have the best manager in the world.

Playing everton next could be fantastic or a f**king nightmare. If we lose then our confidence really will be shattered. If we win though, then we will have bounced back against our neighbours who are flying.

Already it’s a huge game though, so early into the season.

Adrian will gift them a goal - I can already see it

No dont buy that, that back 4 should be full of confidence plus weve shipped goals v leeds with Alisson...its a deeper issue then Adrian

I am not excusing the back 4 at all belive me I am saying as a whole the difference when you have a class keeper behind you rather than error prone keepers like Adrian , Karious or Mignolet is huge

A surprise for me was throughout the entire game, we didn't look to have a leader on the pitch. Someone to rally the troops and give a rollicking when needed. Not Virg, not Milly, no one. I can't help thinking if Hendo was playing - we'd only lose 6-2.

The thing with Adrian is yes he was to blame for 1 goal but the bigger picture is the fear and lack of confidence in our back 4 he brings

Its his decision making more then anything. I think he's a good shot blocker.  The less he has to handle the ball at his feet, they better we are, examples are today and Athletico Madrid.

If we've got Adrian for the next 6 weeks he'll do the same to our defence of the PL that he did to the defence of the Champions League... The guy is not good enough for Liverpool simple as..

Few points around Thiago and experience and controlling  games and Hendo for his vocal management not sure would have made a difference  but when Mo got it back to 2-1 that was the time to get a grip of the game and regroup and we simply didn't and carried on making the same mistakes

Hopefully this is a bit of a wake up call for the team, we might be champions of England, Europe and the world but we cannot be complacent. We'll have less injuries by the time of the next match and I don't see Everton keeping this up all season.

I’m not buying that tbh - he was at fault for 1 of 7 goals - we were simply awful defensively - Henderson/Milner do more work organising this team than people give them credit for

There's not much we can do now, that Atletico game should have signalled the end for Adrian's Anfield career in the same way that final did for Karius, he should never have worn the jersey again and I'm very surprised at Klopp.
The ONLY explanation I can think of is that he's under contract for another season and we've not really had a pre season to offload him. I honestly hope we sound a few keepers agents out tomorrow but I doubt it now.

There's a rumour about Gazzaniga but no idea if it's just social media bullshit or not.

I'm not blaming him for tonight's showing, everyone was abysmal I'm just saying no way in the world is that guy good enough for Liverpool FC.

      From another forum -

"It is all about character, in December 1976 Liverpool, the season after wining their first title under Bob Paisley, went to Villa Park.

At half time they were 5-1 down and it stayed that way until the end. After that Liverpool went on to win the league by 1 point from Manchester City and also their first ever European cup."

The biggest problem is holding the high line home & away. And if you don't press and swarm when we lose the ball we are wide open to the through ball and if that's not on it's over the top of the full backs Trent more than Robbo.

Some teams won't be able to exploit that but plenty will try and too many will get through. So if you a play risk/reward game strategy then sometimes the risk is to high. The gap between the top 4/5/6 and the rest has narrowed so if we don't have a plan B then bad results will happen more often.

Was always going to be very difficult playing at the same level as last season and a bad result was in the pipeline.Today it arrived.

After the game Bob said " there's no room at this club for fly by nights"..but in truth he knew it was a freak result. It has no meaning with regard to today's game.
