Big Sam is good at what he does.  Getting teams to get 38 points from 38 games.

Had loads of draws against him so not going to read too much in to it.  We move on.

Get three points against the Toon.

More of the same on its way. Would play Nat Phillips V Joelinton

You could see that one coming. How many times when we huff and puff does that happen. Agree that Jürgen should have changed it earlier. Need to buy 47 cbs as well next month. Thought everyone was fairly poor but thought Gini was woeful. Maybe his head is elsewhere now?

If that’s the case, his contract situation needs sorting or he goes in January, we need everyone onboard, fully focussed on Liverpool Football Club, and that goes for everyone, no matter who they are!

Not hitting the same players backside in the space of ten seconds wouldn’t have been too much to expect nor tripping over the ball running in a straight line twice.

Jesus Christ he has been out for how long and gets 10 minutes you wanna start analysing other players through the 90 minutes they had. What about the assist for the the glaring chance for Bobby or have you Conveniently  forgot that

Nothing wrong with putting Ox on.

It's putting that lump Origi on that made no sense.

      Short memory ???

Would've brought Nat on for Matip - the threat was going to be in the air - didn't understand that.
And thought maybe Taki for Salah, didn't think it was happening for Mo today.

AOC lost the ball a couple of times, but at least he tried to inject a bit of pace, attack with the ball.
We played at walking pace most of the game.
Thought Jürgen would've mixed it up sooner.

Man, disappointed to see those 2 points slip.

Debating the substitutes that were / weren't brought on misses the point ... the starting eleven were more than good enough and they all had just had an eight day break too so no excuses re tiredness. We started well, got a goal up, and then stopped. Everyone assumed someone else would take control and that the win would just happen - too much complacency up front. Mane played well but I'm struggling to think of anyone else who could honestly say that they did themselves credit in that game. Their keeper had very little to do apart from our goal, and the header from Firmino right at the end. That says it all.

Poor performance and a fitting result, but we're still top and still the only side who looks like winning the league.  Let's not be too harsh on the lads (or the gaffer) as the league just seems much more balanced this year....

Starting 11 should have had enough, by minute 60 to 70 it didnt, thats why subs are there, cover injury and option to change something not working

Minamino and Shaq were ideal for the lasst 15, Ox Id say no problem with. Origi in the time he came on??

Very harsh on a fella who's given us everything for the last four and a half years. Wasn't his best game but there's no need for such an overreaction.

At a macro level you know we're not going to finish the season 38-0-0, but at the micro level you go into every game expecting to win and it's disappointing when you don't. Points dropped from our own errors but we move on. Win at Newcastle and we are guaranteed to end the calendar year 1st in the table.

The first 15 minutes was not how i saw the game going, it was too easy. The rest of the match was how it was always going to be against Fat Sam team.
I expected the bus to be parked, and we would have to break them down, while they would try and hit us on the break.
We should have hit them 3 times in the first 15 minutes, we didn't, and paid the price.

Love Matip, but he can't be relied on to stay fit, so we must buy in January.
Good to see Ox back, but he had a nightmare in the short time he was on. Head down running into walls, and taking shots that weren't on.
We brought on Origi and didn't even throw in a cross for him! WTF?
It's definitely 2 points dropped, but F**k it! We'll take it on the chin, and move on.

Feels like a loss, doesn't it. Now the dust is settling, I'm more concerned we have Matip out, again.

Not just that, but he has played basically every F***ing game and hasn't been able to get a proper break because the team around him is so brittle.

We were good in the first half but just far too conservative with our attacking in the second. All we did was knock it square in front of them before eventually chipping in a hopeful ball. Don't know if the fact that Mane got his goal that way made us think that was the way to unlock them again, but there was no way they were going to gift us that space between their CBs twice. Does show why we need a Thiago in midfield to unlock teams that sit deep. Particularly if one flank of our wide players (ie Trent and Mo) basically take the day off.

95th minute, just swing one in. That drove me nuts

I don't mind the short corner. I mean, that is how they scored, isn't it? They can certainly work, but this time it didn't for us, just like the other 1,000 crosses didn't either.
