Recent results for West Brom, Southampton and Newcastle really puts into perspective how badly out of form we were until a week ago.

no not really, unless we were desperate for the loan fee. I think its just a case of Jürgen not fancying him at the moment, but wanting to see how he gets on at Saints and then either bring him back into the fold or sell him in the summer. Quite clever although I still don't understand why he favours Origi over Taki, but obviously there's a lot we don't get to see.

I think it’s more to do with Taki not coping  with the intensity in training, we play how we train, maybe that’s why he hasn’t been playing of late aside from the odd cameo appearances, May also explain why Origi plays ahead of him,
At Saints I imagine the training is less intense and more suited to what Taki is used to so it’s a win win for the player and the club, Taki gets more game time with a club with less demands and builds his confidence, and there is the option to either bring him back or make the deal permanent, which is what I think will happen!

YEA, we just were very very poor in front of goal. Gone now, if that's our our major blip of the season all things considering its ok.

Klopp mentioned height when picking Origi over Taki. he said we havnt given taki enough games but also needed Origis height more because of the defensive issues.

Its a good move all round for taki.

Owen kicking off about the penalty last night.

      Good for him.

A few more need to break ranks and start calling these sh*t VAR decisions out.
That's the only way it will change.

As usual, the FA are using something to protect what they think is the integrity of their refs, not realising it is having the opposite effect.

      So tonights games..

      Liverpool v Brighton...home win

Leeds v Everton..what leeds will turn up?? Call draw here.

Burnley v city...can only see City winning

Spurs v Chelsea..I think spurs are done but ill call draw here

Fulham v Leicester...Vardy is a loss to the system they like but think they get the win

Villa v west ham. A villa win would knock them inside the top 6 and mean I have to redo my mini league table, so hope West ham get a point but I see a Villa win

Time for this to become the top 4 race thread so we can finally discuss the situation we actually are in rather than the one we want to be in.

Last game week all our competition dropped points. Today it was only us. Every chance we take a hammering off City so we have to hope results go our way elsewhere.

The priority now has to be to keep the damage to a minimum. Jürgen has some big decisions to make regarding which of these defenders he wants to play. I'm not expecting miracles from them and they will make mistakes im sure, but I would like to see our midfield back in the middle of the park.

We have nothing to lose now in playing one or both of Kabak and Davies at CB from next week on. We badly need more quality in midfield we are no longer dominating midfield as we did the last two seasons with Fab in there and it's killing our intensity.

Stick the two new lads at CB play Fab, Thiago and one of Hendo/Gini in midfield and I guarantee we start smashing teams again.

Anyone who thinks we can win the league after that performance is in cuckoo land. Feel free to come back and say I told you so if we do end up winning it, but F**k me that was poor.

I actually don't care where we finish this season, I have always said they get a free pass considering what they have achieved recently, wouldn't mind a run in the CL though.
