Given the figures quoted LFC could sign Mac Allister and Ugarte for midfield and still have 20 - 30 million left over for a defender.
All for the price that's being quoted for Bellingham.
I'd be surprised if the club wasn't looking at Ugarte as well as Mac Allister.

No idea what Ugarte is like but there is certainly going to be a second mid coming in - was expecting it to be Mount but guess depends on his cost

I suppose it depends on what Klopp is looking for.
Mac Allister would be playing where Jones/Keita play.
Ugarte would put much needed competition in with Fabinho.
Given the age on Henderson and Fabinho, Ugarte (plays as a 6) would be a good signing for both now and the future.

Firmino, Ox, Keita, Milner confirmed as gone so Mac Allister and Ugarte would fill that midfield 3 loss, with Bajcetic taking on playing minutes also.

Count Mount out, Arsenal in him CL+London and frankly I don't care if we miss out on him.

Frustrating we not gonna challenge Arsenal for Rice. Homegrown and he's exactly what we need.

KLOPP was pretty adamant the other day that both backup goalies wont be leaving.

So thats a good thing.

Although I do wonder if a big offer comes in for kelher would it temp him and the club ?

Not sure why we need both tbh especially with Harvey Davies as well . Can't see Kelleher being happy with the lack of game time if he has any ambitions he should be playing more regularly

I don't think he's the player that Klopp needs.
He won't play the role as LM or 8.
He's more like a 10, which Klopp rarely uses, and if he does it'll be Gakpo.

Mac Allister is arguably the cheapest option available in the positions that Liverpool need players.
(And would still leave space for Bellingham next summer) I know. I know.

I think people are worrying too much about whether the club needs to sign a home grown player.
Even signing 2 midfielders and a CB this summer the squad will be leaner and younger than ever
with 23 senior players and the 5 U21 players giving a squad of 28.

Kelleher will probably get a lot of cup games next season; maybe Klopp has promised him the Europa league games as well. I'd prefer to keep him another season at least.

Doubtful, because that basically means Alison only plays league games.

Hopefully Kelleher stays another year, but he does deserve to be playing regularly somewhere else.

Could see us interested in him, might make sense to make one of our midfield targets a bit younger so we don’t end up in the mess we are in right now again in a few years time.
