Are the stands empty because of restrictions or because of the turgid football on display

Even the Womens Prem isn’t this bad

Assuming restrictions. I know this is in Cameroon but in South Africa they get decent crowds for the local games (I went to a Kaizer Chiefs game and an Orlando Pirates game and the full lower tier of the stadium was full both times), so would assume for national games there is an even greater interest.

Haven’t watched any of this tournament so far, just want our boys home and not injured.

      Any chance Egypt don't qualify?

The other two teams are 106th and 125th in the world rankings so unlikely I'd say!

Plus they drew against each other in the other game.

Thanks, I know nothing about African football and i have no interest in the tournament except in the health of our players.

      Because of restrictions.

Stadiums will have their capacity capped at 80 percent for the host's matches. Other fixtures will only be played in front of 60 percent of the ground's capacity.

What a farce this tournament is game ending in 89th minute after an already suspended and reinstated ref tried to end it in the 85th minute. How can they be expected to be taken seriously and compared to the other major continental tournaments?

Not sure entirely what his game/agenda was though because he did give a penalty against Mali and send one of theirs off. Just Khazri missed it.

It is reported that the ref was suffering heat stroke and lost his ability to think clearly.

Medical reasons not incompetence. Can we chill instead of continually mocking African football?

Wait, so the ref wasn't able to think clearly...they don't have other referees that could step in? Ending the game early? Sorry that's a farce. Not sure why you are taking it personal but it is what it is.

Yeah that’s nonsense, if that was the case the 4th official would have taken over duties
