You know when dates for rounds of the cup are always given as "Week Commencing/Ending", well why don't they do it for this when the fixture list is released? All the weekend games might be posted as 15:00, but the vast majority of them will be changed. We had one game at 3pm on a Saturday last season.
Overall, it's a good list. Early chances to right the wrongs against Burnley and Chelsea at home, with the fans back and the squad hopefully at full strength. Hopefully that will still be the case when we play City at home just 7 games in. Otherwise, we might have to settle for a point and let the game fizzle out, as has happened in the fixture at that stage of the season, in the past.
The derby away from home is on a midweek, and the Christmas period looks tough with Spurs, Leicester and Chelsea all away from home. Despite that, it's now 30 years since we last had a game in London on 26 December. Then Mo and Mane head off to the Afcon leaving Brentford and Palace behind them.
The last 10 games have tasty ties at home to the mancs, Spurs, and the derby, and for the fourth time in 5 seasons, we're at home on the last day. It was great to have it at home last season, and maybe this time we can lift No. 20 at the end of the Wolves game.
That's assuming life is back to normal by then.
