Both goals felt like it was city passing through our midfield.

The way KDB and Silva receive the ball and turn is absolutely outrageous, so smooth and always seems to pick the right pass.

Yeah not necessarily just blaming the centre backs. All three midfielders were miles off it today.

Hate to say it but it was a game we sorely missed Gini. He was made for a game like today and we don’t really have anyone in the squad that can do that role.

City could have just as easily.

Draw was a fair result all in.

We should have won, smply because we took the lead twice and couldn’t hang on.

We won the league because of how we managed games.

Our game management is piss poor and we'll win nothing like this.

I'm gutted we did not get the 3 points but remember. These games are not the tittle winners. Its a game like last week at Brentford that is. Win your games home and away against opposition out of the top 4 and you should be okay.

Yep, huge difference in the way Silva and DeBruyne receive the ball on the turn and burn their marker, compared to Henderson and Jones.

I'd have took a point at ht. Feels like a point gained whereas last week it felt like 2 lost despite Brentford probably deserving at least a point if not all 3.

But defensively we don't look right. No reserve rb and not alot of quality/creativity/class in midfield.

I hope Jota finds his shooting boots again soon as we can't rely on 2 players.

Bobby when he came on ..... not the best.

Watford next and they will have another new manager no doubt.

Better second half (couldn't get any worse) leading twice and not holding on disappointing . Thought subs odd Firmino offered little , the midfield were blowing out of their ass and Keita should of been on for me

Let me guess. We needed to spend 50-60M on a lad named ''management'' you saw in the french league or something?

Earlier in the thread you say you can't fathom how we didn't replace Gini who was a ''workhorse defending our backline''. Weren't you one of those who kept blaming Gini for bringing nothing to the team and literally just ''running around''

Been injured for 3 years though. Yet they want to give him a new deal and let our most reliable midfielder walk out to psg for free.

Keita couldn't lace wijnaldums boots any day of the week.

Chamberlain has always suffered with injuries. Thiago I'm not too sure ... he was assaulted at goodison last season and was lucky it was only 3/4 months.

We are light on quality in midfield ... no doubt about it.

One is 26 and the other is 30, big difference and especially so when you already have 2 key players in that position also 30+.

We took Gini's spot and gave it to a dynamic 18yo who can be a superstar. Guess we should have known he was going to get tackled down ahead of the season.

Not so much Jones IMO, think Jones is starting to move really well with the ball, as evident in the 1 goal and 4/5 assists in the last 3 games.
Hendo, 100% though, he’s like a tanker when he gets on the ball, nothing graceful at all.

So you think we should have 5 players of the calibre of the current front four?

      Not going to happen.

Gutted about the Fabinho chance at the end. Think that would’ve been enough.

      I still can't believe he missed 😯

Exactly. And that's why the Brentford result was so disappointing and irritating. There are very few circumstances where a result like that is acceptable. It was very much akin to the 3-3 result against Watford on the opening day of the 2017-2018 season.

At the moment, our balance is very much akin to that season. Goals galore and chances aplenty but a little open at the back. I'm wondering if that's a strategic change from Jürgen this season, to be a bit more attack minded. We really are creating shitloads of chances this season.

Salah and Mane played brilliantly. Fabinho should have won it.

      Still unbeaten :)

He didn't miss it was on target and blocked . Could of been a bit quicker , debatable

Don’t know about quicker, was always going to be taking a touch in that situation, I feel it was more a case of the effort being a bit too tame and casual. Needed him to just leather it and make sure.

Any team would lack creativity in midfield with their best 3 playmakers not playing.

Im watching the highlights now and im still gutted that we didnt win after some excellent goals BUT from a neutral perspective a draw is what we deserve. We were aweful in first half, milner should have a second yellow and our midfield were outplayed.
