The problem with ignoring Twitter and Youtube is that now these places are now on par with legit mainstream outlets in terms of viewership and eyes.

There are a lot of legit journalists on these platforms and nowadays, often times, Mainstream media sources Social Media for discussion topics and information. The lines have been blurred.

These wankers have to power to create any narratives they want. And they are incentivized now even more to create drama and farm engagement, and clip things out of context, because you can make money on there now. (it was a lot more convoluted to make money pre 2010).

It all just creates a SUPER toxic culture where every week, after every game, if you don't win, someone, ANYONE, has to be a villain. The manager, a player, a person on the board. Someone has to be a villain. This is incredibly unhealthy.

Please don’t combine the two as a lot seemed to be thinking saying Nunez isn’t at the required level for Liverpool is abuse etc

I said it before, I feel sorry for him, it’s not his fault he was bought for such a large sum but ultimately he will go down with the likes of Andy carol and veronin (I’m sure I got his spelling totally wrong, I apologise)

If Barcelona want him, sell him as soon as the season is over but it’s fake news, he struggles to pass or shoot accurately when 1 vs 1, so he won’t fit in at all

This season alone Nunez has scored more goals than both Carrol and Voronin didn’t combined over their Liverpool careers - he has 31 goal involvements - 18 goals and 13 assists

Some are unable to distinguish between form and ability.


He is in a rough patch - the same with a number of players

He has a huge loss in form and it’s smashed his confidence

And instead of supporting as it is these days with modern fans it’s easier to pile onto him

& he needs to do better with a lot of the chances he fluffs, of that there is no denying. He's 24 so not yet entered his prime and perhaps the finishing will come a little later for him. He's too good a player to cast away.

It's crazy how we can sit here and talk about someone with 18 goals and 13 assists having a "bad season", could you imagine what a good season would look like for him?

Keep him on the left and with the money you’ll get for Salah ( if he does go? ) which now unlikely buy Toney, or maybe Isak. All though extremely doubtful Palmer would arguably be an even better buy considering his age.

You'd think Nunez shagged some of these supporter's wives the way they hurl insults at him. At the end of the day, would it be nice if he put away even half of the "easy" chances he misses...yes it would. The hope is that he will become that player, possibly though he is what he is...infuriating but fascinating, doing easy things badly and doing hard things easily. We paid enough for him that we need to see out his development though. To just up and sell him to me is a waste of the time and money already spent on him. Let's see what he does under a new manager. If he struggles next year then maybe it's time to think about a fresh start for him somewhere else.
