I think it's accurate to say that I did not quote any member, so why anyone would plead innocence is beyond me, I also think it's accurate to say, that I strongly implied to keep the thread on topic, so why someone would then go off topic is again beyond me.

You just know there will be a WWII jingoistic headline if England win sadly, and yes I thought that about it coming home.

Looking forward to this. Got the family watching it. My middle brother's wife used to play alongside Ellen White for the England and Arsenal youth set ups and she was telling me about the difficulty of playing at that level whilst getting paid comparatively f*ck all and still having a life outside of it all. It may be somewhat different now with sponsorships but in her day some of the players in the men's senior team offered to pay the women a wage when they learned what they were getting paid by their clubs.
