I thought the penalty was harsh, to say the least, our defence awful, how much further will we fall in the league, before things are turned around !

look on th ebrightside Everton are getting beat and look every bit a sh*t as they really are

Couldn’t give a sh*t about Everton. If anything, I’d prefer them to win today because we have a battle for top four on our hands!

The stats support what we’re watching. That’s the point.

If you're arsed with stats sound, but when your in the ground as I will be next Sunday, last thing I'll be thinking about is F***ing stats.

The worse we get the more unlikely good players or superstars like bellingham will want to play for us.

They go above us with a draw. Not really arsed though. Be big for them .... being 10th and just above them really sums up our continuing decay.

      Goals scored per match:
      2021-22: 2.47
2022-23: 1.57 (not including Bournemouth fluke)

      Goals conceded per match:
      2021-22: 0.68
2022-23: 1.50 (not including Bournemouth fluke)

      Differential:
      2021-22: +1.79 per match
      2022-23: +0.07 per match

Seeing as though you took away a result... pretty pointless post and stats.

Not arsed lad. Come may, it’ll be united who are closer to us. Not them.

What happens when you stand still. Bellingham will see a team in decline ... that doesn't invest. Its sad ... but I don't think we look that attractive currently. United have got the money and the players they've brought in have improved them.

City will no doubt be in for him too. Maybe Madrid ... even if Bellingham was a mad red I'd struggle to make a case for him turning down other clubs to come here.

Hoping for a fourth place battle may be beyond us the way we're playing at the moment.

No, it’s not. Clear and obvious outliers should be disregarded, unless you want to greatly skew the results. If I were to post the stats including the Bournemouth match, now that would be pointless.

The only option I would consider is counting the 0 goals conceded against Bournemouth, but in no way should 9 goals in one match be included if you’re trying to get an accurate picture.

Statistics are a combination of hard data and using your brain.

When Arse turned up the heat our midfield just couldn’t compete.

Not a pretty sight playing with a handicapped midfield.

This mess has been foreseen for a while now.

Doesn't help that Hendo and Thiago were outnumbered though.
If we do that against Citeh will be carnage.
But reckon he does start Fab/Hendo/Thiago against them.
What choice does he have - kids Elliot/Carvahlo, Milners form is off cliff, F***ing Keita Anderton unavail as usual. Curtis too.
Knight in shining armour - Melo ?!
But agree - the midfield problems were seen a long ways back.
