The stats are actually nearly identical for both teams - you have to say that is a massive win away from home

Decent rearguard in those last 25mins or so. They obviously made a game of it second half but 3 pts in the bag.

They through everything at us there. But we stood up to it. Got a break here and there .... it still ain't anywhere near perfect. But all good things start with grit and determination and we showed that today.

Thank god. Mo got the credits by Sky, but I'm in two minds, I think he benefited from the industry of others, Nunez and Robbo, toss up between the two - think I'll give it to Robbo

      Held on.
That was behind the couch stuff last 20mins.
      Mo MOTM. Clinical.
      Konate close behind.
Some pragmatic subs there from JĆ¼rgen.
Not comfortable by any means, but 3pts away to Spuds is a good result.

Much like the win vs City?  ;)

It's consistency that is our problem. No effort against the smaller teams has cost us dear.

I'd actually go with Ali or Konate.

Salah gets it for the two goals, but the two above kept us in the game.

What a win. It was a must not lose game that so we were under quite a bit of pressure going into the game too.

Thought the first half it was like watching the Liverpool of old. We were aggressive with the press, played good football, looked energetic, dangerous and then Mo took both goals superbly.

Second half I donā€™t really know what happened. It was a bit concerning. The Liverpool of old would have just kept the ball and see the game out comfortably but we couldnā€™t put three passes together and we were a little erratic defensively.  That said, we weathered the storm so they say and we got the points which in my opinion was absolutely vital to our season. I suppose you could argue that weā€™re weā€™re resilient.

Man of the match was obviously Mo. Thought he was brilliant throughout.

Just want to mention Darwin though. He continues to amaze/confuse me. One minute you see his brilliance and the next he looks like a pub player. Itā€™s bizarre. I do think he is far better on the left rather than down the middle though and thinking ahead, I would prefer Diaz to play in the middle if he starts alongside Darwin.

Really good win that. Top four is on.

      Great result!

We played really well in the first half and looked threatening early in the second, but we rode our luck a bit after that.

Iā€™m very happy to take the points. We just need to win next week. Itā€™s no good beating top sides if we canā€™t beat the bottom-tier.

Nunez and Mo were very good today. Konate makes a difference at the back.

I think Nunez is at his best when he has a lot of space to run into. Heā€™s going to get more opportunities to do this on the left than when playing down the middle in a 433. I think Nunezā€™ best position is probably as a left striker in a 442.

First Half = goals = we played well

Second Half = conceded and no goals = we played badly

Think you will find there was no difference in our performance in either half.

Just glad we held on and got the 3 points. Can't wait for the WC break and January transfer window. What a season!
