You have Andy Robertson turning and running forward, Nunez the same , Trent banging in great crossed and a midfield that dawdles around at walking pace . All disjointed until we have runners in midfield .

      Not picking a MOTM.
Nunez can't hit a F***ing barn door, how many 1-on-1's with the keeper has it been now over how many games he hasn't even hit the target!
Mo quiet as well, but I'd have him play thro the middle and Nunez in from left, he's a better finisher.
AOC took his goal well, but did almost nothing else.
Thiago never hid, seems to be getting criticism, but thought he was better than Fab, while Elliot imho was anonymous again, not sure how he is starting.
Konate had a poor game, as did Kostas. Not sure if VVD was injured, but at least Matip tried to commit guys when brought it forward.
Good cross from TAA for the goal, but threw a lot of poor crosses in the mix.
At least when Keita came on he was direct, thro lost the ball for their 3rd.
73% possession, most of it side to side.

Don't think it's formation, just think we have players not playing well enough, to win games on any consistent basis.

Hating this season, wish it was over. Thinking of bowing out for a while for my mental health, this team affects my mood too much!

If we are truly objective, are we not somewhat predictable to play against? My 9 year old watched today and pointed out what our next move would be and our MF issues. I'm sure PL coaching staff and players can do it if he can. I LOOOOVVEE Klopp, but the tactics haven't evolved for some time. Obviously injuries have played HUGE part this season. Last season he's took us to the final day in everything. But when we get hit with injuries he seems to keep mashing the square peg into the round hole.

There's a lazy kind of laid back arrogance about this team and it's typified by Thiago's look at me style of play. Very difficult to shake off that mentality. Started creeping in last season.

When was the last time we blew teams away in the first 15-20 minutes. Mentality monsters...mmm..

Liverpool have conceded 51 big chances this season, according to Opta. That is more than twice as many as the five teams above them in the Premier League table. Massive issue.

It's a damning statistic isnt it. Slow, lazy and wide open time and time again. High line, no press ... we are sooooooo easy to play against and create against.

Start games fast asleep. Same thing every week. It doesn't change. I don't know where we go from here.

Can Jürgen not see that the system that was so successful is now killing us. The high line, the midfield and forward press; these tactics worked with players of a certain age who were strong and fast. But sadly a lot of those same players have aged* They have now lost that pace and the stamina needed, and simply can not, can not, do what they once did....there might be the odd glimpse of it, but not for whole games.
So what do we do?...Short term: We can't change the whole playing personnel, so a change of tactic HAS to happen. If we don't change tack and continue with this high line we will continue to ship goals and won't be able to compete at the top of the division. Long term: if JK want's to continue to play this system, then younger, fitter players will be needed.
      * They are not too old per se...just too old for this system.

Konate got breathed on and went down like a sack of spuds. We also need defenders not just midfielders.

You'll win nothing with a non functional midfield.

Ox and Keita need to go asap. Fabinho is woeful for months now. Milner should be retired, and Hendo is slowing down big time.

Massive overhaul needed. No point having an abundance of attackers with nothing behind them to support.

If we don't sign a top midfielder in January we'll be lucky to finish top 8.

Go back to the 442 where we looked more compact and not exposing the high line constantly.

A midfielder wouldn’t have stopped the shocking marking from the back line or Konate getting brushed off the ball so easily

Issues are not down to not buying a player

Why could they find so much space individually and just pass the ball through us at ease.
We never created any space, no movement, but nothing changed all game.
Second to every second ball, can’t remember winning a 50/50. 1 cross for ox goal, can’t remember another of quality.
When their attack broke down, we regained possession and seemed to wait for all of them to get behind the ball before we edged forwards. 5 yd forward  passes x 3 then
      1 20 yd pass backwards.
They hit one ball forwards, then 4 chasers out run us out muscle us, out think us and generally make us look like div 2 side.
Harvey, Carvalho, Curtis, all too lightweight for the prem.
Tiago great passer but not great defensively.
Fab losing form, Hendo getting too old.
To suggest that talking about new midfielders only puts pressure on the players in those positions is f**king ridiculous. We need some talented grunt in there as an emergency.
These players cannot play to the current tactics. Either the tactics need to change or the players.
And as for the high line, how many times does it need to be breached before we change it.
      Total f**king madness !

Well least Klopp has a bit of time to do something about it.  Start by playing a very strong team in the FA Cup and get the message across that you're all playing for your places. He has to get the strong work ethic back into this club..this team.

I mean we are not a basket case but if we don't start working, putting in the hard yards, lesser teams, who are prepared to work and graft will overtake us.
