Is this Fabrizio Romano ever wrong?

Remember when he said Gakpo was set on a move to Manchester United

The only time he’s right is when he jumps on an already broken story. Right now it appears that he’s a mouthpiece for whatever club thinks they can use him to their advantage (Chelsea)

He’s clearly been working hard for Chelsea PR over the last couple of days.

Everything they’ve wanted to push has gone through him.

xxx has been reporting that a deal has been agreed with Brighton and contract ready to be signed.

      How is he for reliability?

edit: Given the xxx above, I take it that Dave guy is not much liked on here?

Would love it if Chelsea after 72 hours submit an offer only for it to be rejected due to lack of upfront cash. Confused about all these reports hes agreed a 8 year deal, I was under the impression anything over 5 is banned as of 1st July due to Chelsea’s previous shadyness…

It's quite obvious he is not and does not want to sign for LFC.
It's quite obvious that CFC does not have the moneys of £115m, so how are they going to pay his wages and bonuses, plus they want that Southampton lad too at a reported £55m.
I'm sure JH is keeping our offer on the table  just to ensure CFC have to pay what they claim they can afford.
      FFP... what a joke.

For me we should bid higher than Chelsea again and drive the price up. Even if we pull out and F**k the lad off. Make them go 125/130 million

There is no point outbidding Chelsea for a player that doesn't want us. Let them have him and move on to other targets.

Feck him, move on if he thinks he's too good for Liverpool FC.....Chelsea will end up in trouble at some point, whether it's FFP or just over spending on those ridiculously long contracts.
I hope his Chelsea move falls through and Saudi is his only option 😏

Don’t know why Chelsea takes this long to submit a bit but well submitting a bid is one thing getting it accepted another. Just imagine Brighton reject Chelsea bid because they don’t prefer the Structure of the deal compared to our bid  :lmao:

Caicedo end up staying there for another season  :D

There's nothing really to laugh at from our end. Made a right horlicks of this transfer ourselves.

We could be doing with getting some closure on this one and moving on to sorting out a midfield that is miles away from being ready to compete.

I think it’s probably best to pull out if this one now surely? I’m glad they left the bud in and forced Chelsea to scramble rather than pulling out and enabling them to barter Brighton down but it’s time to move on now.

Don’t pull out in public just yet

If we are smart, find targets and start negotiating incase things fall through and then get them if he goes to Chelsea

The part I’m worried about is if the club are not looking at others yet but watching ssn news and Twitter for developments ;D which I think they could be doing

Is this Brightons doing? I think we've been hoodwinked by them to drive the price up for Chelsea..do they know Caicedo had no intention of joining us? I mean Liverpool and PSG could agree £200m for Mbappe but he wouldn't come to us.
I hope MacAllister ends up worth over £100m and we've had their pants down.

I said this when the news broke mate.  Brighton were made up we came along. They used us as a tool to draw Chelsea out. They knew how it would end.

And then they had the cheek to go back on the Thursday midnight deadline and then even more cheek to ask us to leave our bid in whilst they did the deal with Chelsea. They've all ended up with what they wanted and we get the big assist and f*ck all else.

Lost lavia now as well. How they spend all this money is pathetic. FFP my f*cking arse.
