The issue is away from home

At home we are solid , away from home it’s a completely different story, the difference is night and day. The squad we have is good enough to be up in that too 4 right now but something is not right away from home

Was that our 8th loss in the league away from home this season? Incredible to be honest.

At home teams generally sit back against us and let us have the ball.

Away from home that’s when we need our midfield most and they’ve been so far off the pace this season.

Trent defends like a 9 year old but it doesn’t help when he has no cover either. He’s constantly exposed and this is something Jürgen hasn’t addressed at all.

The same manager who said we had all we needed in midfield and more at the end of the summer you mean?

He's as complicit as them no matter how many people keep their head in the sand about it.

      Klopp backs the owners!

How could he affect anything if FSG sacked him for a confrontational
      attitude?
FSG are not afraid of giving managers the bullet as we have seen and Klopp has stated many times that he and his family are very happy at Liverpool, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that the man wishes  to help the club while he can.

I cant believe we only had 4 attempts and 31% posession. Disgraceful - the players have given up and this is a major worry.

13 years two trophies that are worthy of note and a £3billion increase in their asset value and yet Jürgen is the problem.
The fact he has got us so close to more trophies is a signal we just needed an extra financial push in the market but its now Jürgen's fault we didnt spend the money when I thought FSG had the management team in place to scout and purchase players .
Our lads particularly in midfield are shot they have given us all we can expect from them.  Todays defeat isnt really unexpected we had won one in 13 before today Chelsea and Arsenal are now make or break for us this season.

Yea it’s the 8th in the league plus the 2 in the cups and two more CL - 12 defeats away from home

2 defeats at home in comparison

Defended TAA a lot but time for Gomez to come in

Or time for 3 at the back away from home

Imagine watching a Jürgen Klopp side with this little energy and desire.

None of us would have predicted we'd see that a few years back.

Next season is going to another season when we chase top 4. This team need multiple signings and the owners aren't going to splash 300 million + on this team and even the most pro FSG fans realise that.

      We need:

      New DM

      2 Box to box Midfilders.

      A new starter CB.

      A new right footed fullback.

We are not going to address these issues in the summer, so we are likely going to go next season with another glaring weakness.

.....and why do we need multiple signings next season?

Could it be the owner's refusal to back the asset?
The manager has no sell to buy options and we have a midfield quandary that is losing us games, this situation cannot continue.

We need to transition from needing our fullbacks to attack. City had bloody center backs at full backs and they still created plenty of chances, I just want to have a bloody fullbacks that can defend and have a functioning midfielder that creates for our attackers. When was the last time we had a goalscoring midfielder ? Countinho?

Read the comment again where it says Jürgen is "on board" with the owners and avoids being confrontational.
You are getting confused as your support for the owners is confusing in itself.

Klopp has been here for years and it still amazes me that some of our fans can’t grasp what type of man he is.

He won’t publicly criticise FSG for many reasons, just like he wouldn’t criticise his employers at any other club either. Anyone suggesting otherwise really don’t know or understand him.

It also amazes me that people don’t understand that what a manager, or sometimes players, say to the media might not necessarily be true either.

      What game did you watch?
We were outplayed in every area by a superior team that cost billions to assemble.

One of the big key things missing from last season is the

Klopp - Edwards - Gordon triangle

Those three have been key over the last 6 years

Gordon stepped back for a while and Ward come in for Edwards and it doesn’t seem to be working as a relationship with Hogan as well

Something isn’t right with Ward leaving quickly and now issues with him joining Ajax

The guy they bring in is key now. Gordon coming back is big as well - need to get that working again as that’s the area that has brought us in the players over the years that have been successful

Nunez and Gakpo are talented players - but not sure the right players and it might be because of a breakdown in that trio.

Melo shaking hands with Pep after the equaliser! At least Tsimikas walked away.

These players do not deserve any support from the faithful. Shambolic performance .. a refusal to work. I just can’t get over that performance.

      Agree.

But on the players, my opinion is that Nunez is a rough diamond, personally think he’s more suited to playing on the left than he is down the middle where I think his technical ability lets him down, but I can’t see him edging a fully fit Diaz out the side.

Gakpo I worry about. I think he will be a flop. Apart from that united game I haven’t seen him offer anything.

100m+ spent on two subs, potentially.
