True both worthy of straight reds. The fact the first wasn't even given as a foul is frankly weird and can only be down to sheer incompetence by the officials. Obviously had Skipp been dismissed then Jota couldn't have kicked him in the grid when he did. I'm glad it should have been a red for Jota because it amplifies the sense of injustice for Spurs. We got 3 points, they got none....Happy days.
We're off to compare different incidents in the same game again it seems.
The Diaz incident is a yellow. You would be upset to get a red for that. That's been a yellow card all season, at worst.
The Jota one is not a red. He wins the ball, there's no intensity, then the opponent puts his head just in the exact place for the foot to hit it. Accidental.
Shirt pulling seems to go unpunished these days, so Mo is not going to get a foul for it. He's used to having his shirt pulled every week and nothing happens. Once he caught the opponent however, it was always going to be a free kick against him.
As for Jürgen, honestly, he'll be lucky if he escapes a 2 match ban, as he's already served one this season, and it obviously was no deterrent. I can't understand managers protesting to fourth officials anyway, they may as well be protesting to the VAR 200 miles away. It does as much good.
