Rumors that Nice aren’t playing nice and don’t want to negotiate. Isn’t their owner the soon to be new owner of the sh*t club in Manchester? That should be a fun negotiation.

I had a thought that not only could these Oily owners outbid most clubs but they could also prevent players leaving it if made a competitors club stronger. There is a growing number of Oily owners now who could affect matters of the field as well

Not sure Jim Radcliffe will be all that keen to sell a player our way whilst he is in the process of trying to buy out greatest rivals meself

He may do when he finds out he won't be buying them

Some paper talk about Newcastle going after Thuram.

this is going to happen a lot now and they have the cash to splash. In someways I feel sorry for FSG and JWH they thought FFP would be enforced and its clearly not going to not now not ever and that is the reality we need to address.

Me thinks that the FFP is just FSG’s excuse not to spend big consistently in the market, rather than toeing the line.

I dont think the penny has dropped with them yet and they think FFP will save them but it won't when some F**k Saudi Sweet shop can spend £25mil or more on the Shirt sponsor then surely they realise what game they are finally in so you either need to be in or out

Why is it clearly not going to be enforced ? Newcastle have spent within FFP

Costco's the best. They had MacAllister listed in their "for a limited time only" section.

      I'd sooner be out then.

To be part of a sovereign states sportwashing exercise would be the end for me.

Give me FSG anyday over that.

What fsg want is for the club to be self sufficient, the problem is that means we are doing it let’s say ultimate hard mode to compete

For example the stadium improvements and so on prob came out of the revenues of the club or will do eventually which could have been used for players

The owners I believe of a club can also put in 30-40m (cannot remember exactly) of personal wealth which would make a big difference if we could have that every season like other big boy clubs

It’s going to be very difficult to complete with clubs spending 40-50-60m extra per season than us

There is no excuse for us to be mid table in terms of spend though. Fsg won’t put funds in, it’s as simple as that, they want the business to generate everything which simply is going to be very difficult unless we work miracles which we did prior.

It’s why they’re looking for investment, so we can improve the squad

30m per season makes a big difference and you can bet the reason we are spending less than half of the league is we have owners who won’t invest whilst 7-8 other teams will do

However, eventually it will catch up to them, look at Leicester and wolves for example

I believe Arsenal and Chelsea will be struggling in a few years time but still the owners should be investing 30m per year as they have a multi billion pound investment ffs
