Clean sheet ... regular win for city. Arsenal go away in their derby and fight for their lives ... get the 3 points. Going to the wire. I expect city to win it ... but arsenal will push them and if they win it then they will deserve it.

Arsenal got close last season. They didnt stand still. They improved their weaknesses and got rid of the failures. I said a few weeks ago city would win out ... but arsenal are keeping them on their toes. They are a far better team than us.

My opinion never changed, it was City before a ball was kicked but my my! Arsenal have done exceptionally well to keep them honest. Full credit to Lego head. 🤦‍♂️ Obviously hope the gunners do win but that would be my heart talking. If they get striker in the summer and Haaland has a poor season again ( by his standards ) I might jut go for Arsenal as fav next year.

Id take haaland tomorrow at his current standard.

We were lightyears ahead of arsenal a couple of years ago. Standing still sent us backwards very quickly.

Now edwards and his mate are onboard , hopefully that wont happen again IF we manage to overhaul arsenal again and be citys challengers. 1st or 2nd arsenal will bring quality in this summer. I said in august Arsenal would be the threat to city ... i hope they win it. Anyone but the cheats.

How many years of VAR? Not fit for purpose. Just another ave to affect the outcome of any given match to match their agenda. And for that reason its here to stay.

Its a disgrace. When howlers happen every week due to agenda driven officials ignoring the obvious on the field ... how many times this season has everyone gone ... "its ok ... its gone to var" ... only for var to ignore the obvious as well.

Not fit for purpose and has ruined any enjoyment left in this circus otherwise known as Professional football.

You would like to think that in a gesture of solidarity, the neighbours would have refused all requests to have a game on April 15, just like we do. Maybe their performance reflected that. After all, Chelsea are not 6 goals better than anyone in normal circumstances.

You would also like to think that (10 years on from rescheduling all ko times to 7 minutes after the designated ko) such a landmark anniversary this year would at least call for a minute of respect at other grounds, as well as our home.

Unfortunately no. Taking the knee was considered to be a bigger priority this year, than marking the 35th anniversary of the worst sports disaster in British history. Maybe it's only LFC that makes any effort to do so, in today's society.

But this is the thing that's still irritating me, I agree most people would take City at the start of a season and despite our going behind in games and some dodgy defending IF we'd have taken a fraction of those missed chances particularly in the games against City, Arsenal and Utd I think we'd have won it.
It's our own fault no doubt but it was there and we blew it with awful finishing.

Most fans I think feel the same on this years Premier League campaign. At the start of the season a final place 2nd/3rd/4th might have been considered decent. But as always context is everything. Getting a Champions league spot only seems like a success after the ignominy of being in the Europa league this term. But now 2nd/3rd/4th feels like a disaster....and it feels like that because we got ourselves into a fantastic position to go all the way.
All of us can take a loss....we know how hard it is to win the league ...or win anything actually....but the way we collapsed was a shock...a shock because of the opposition we had to beat...Palace...Everton. ..West Ham...these are not the kind of teams that stop you winning the League*....and it wasn't just the results.....we failed to even compete against Palace or Everton.
So for all those you say...."Ah well we'd have taken 3rd before a ball was kicked"...I say yes we would...but getting 3rd after the first 31 games that we just played, and with the level of opposition for the remaining fixtures.....we had to at least get to the last weekend in contention.

*Man U and Atalanta are also not the kind of sides to put us out of those competitions.

No way was that a pen, the goalie went for the ball fair enough challenge absolutely no contact then the diver dragged his foot over the goalies leg, VAR and the ref award a pen!

They only really need them to draw, with 4th still up for grabs it's hard to see Spurs giving in.

Goal should of been given or penalty for Bournemouth with the Arsenal player pulling back the Bournemouth players shirt. Instead sh*t decision given for the faintest of touches on Raya.

Then the push on Martinelli looked more of a penalty shout than what Arsenal's actual penalty was given for.

That was a soft call the foul on the Arsenal keeper, the Bournemouth player was pulled back before that...the goal should've stood I think.

Anyway 3pts for Arsenal is the finisher for our very very slim chances...I know we've talked and talked about it but I'm with Aussie Red I'm still gutted we've not won it with all the chances we've missed to score in games.

Robbed at Spurs by VAR and not given pens at home to Arsenal and City.

      Bring in semi automated offsides

& bin VAR. I know it's the people behind it who suck dick but no point having anything that requires human intervention/subjectivity, plus it's having an impact of refs to make live calls as they just keep falling everything back on VAR.

Which is why goal line tech works so well without question and the same would be for semi automated offsides.
