Liverpool 2-0 Union SG: In game and Post Match discussion
      Oct 05, 2023 06:45:26 pm

Anfield hosting the Belgians in UEL

Starting XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Quansah, Tsimikas, Endo, Gravenberch, Elliott, Jota, Salah, Nunez.

Subs: Jaros, Mrozek, Gomez, Van Dijk, Diaz, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Jones, Robertson, Matip, Chambers, Doak.

Trent Alexander-Arnold returns to the starting line-up and captains Liverpool in tonight’s Europa League group-stage tie with Union SG at Anfield.

The full-back is one of nine changes made by the Reds from the weekend encounter at Tottenham Hotspur.

Alisson Becker and Mohamed Salah are the only players to retain their berths in the XI from Saturday.

Surprised Jones is not starting considering he’s out the next 3 league matches. Needs to keep match fitness.

Looks like Jürgen wants to put them to the sword quickly and then cruise. Hopefully we can do that.

Spank them in the first half and rest some players Klopp.

      Jones should have started.

That's strong line up. Front 3 especially. Although I wanted to see Doak again. Might take it out on Union but mid 3 will grow into the game.

A little bit more strength than we might see in the away games - no doubt due to it being at home.

Sooner we wrap up qualification from this group the better as we head into the winter.

Fully expect Liverpool not to learn and concede first before upping the gears and getting the win fairly comfortably.  Three points and perhaps no red cards for a change will do me.

I hope he has gone back to Genga mode, and take it over as it was, he has the players to do do this

Strong front line, didn't expect 3 big guns up there.  Hoping for goals.   Don't know much about Jaros, Mrozek

Would have expected Mo to bury that. Good save from the keeper.

Has Tsimikas gotten worse? he seems to have lost all sense of touch and power with the ball.
