Not many positives from today sadly.
      Grav looked good.
      Salah his normal goal machine.
      Dom excellent.

Feel for Macca as he obviously is struggling in that position and doesn't look like he's enjoying his football.
      Diaz had poor game
Robbo needs a long look at himself.
Oh and they should have been down to 10 men

Fair result. Can't be leading 2-1 at Brighton and expect that's enough. After that shocking Brighton miss late on, maybe we should be thankful for a point.

      Gravenberch miss cost us.

Would help if Diaz could hit the target as well. Begs the question whether Diaz does enough for this team. The crucial numbers - the assists and the goals simply aren't enough or high enough to play at this level. MUST do better should Diaz.

It won’t make the headlines and rightly not but another controversial decision goes against us. Their man should have been sent off for the penalty but appears the standard for a red card is different for us than it is for others.

Was the brighton miss as bad as gravenberch?
Worse. At least Grav hit the underside of the bar and not row z

It certainly wasn’t, Gravenburch was on the 6 yard line and missed.

Ball coming across with a lot more pace, G'Burch also arriving at pace. Brighton's chance came to their player at a slower pace, he was central & not arriving quickly, had more time to set himself and place it - he skyed it. An inch lower and G'Burch's effort would have hit the bar & in.

Not to defend the referee here but I don't believe it's as clear cut as some are saying. Brighton's number 5 is on the line. Szobo is leaning over and without the tug is probably rolling that over with his weight going the other way so he's not blasting it. It's not inconceivable and totally believable that the Brighton player on the line clears in that situation

Gross should have seen red and the free kick for the equaliser was a joke, obviously should defend it better. Bonus of hopefully jota and gakpo off the bench to increase our options

What an odd game of football. Full of errors, and both teams must be thinking that's 2pts dropped.

Salah, Nunez (worked his butt off), and Matip, all had a good game. The others, not so much.

Didn't see that performance coming especially after last week.....More questions than answers at the moment, very messy all round. Diaz again flatters to deceive, Nunez all huff and puff. The Gravenberch sitter was the game...that goes in its all done and dusted. Two BIG points thrown away.

Agreed mate he is a frustrating player, all the talent in the world but just not doing enough at the moment. He has a tendency to try and do too much and run in to trouble. Still think we’re yet to see the best of him.

The reason it wasn’t a red is due to the double jeopardy rule

I think it was a fair result

We missed a sitter and had we buried that chance, it was game over but Brighton did miss their chances too and also missed a sitter

We had so many half chances, Diaz, what’s happened to him ? He was shocking today in terms of his end product

He had a couple of really good shooting moments and just couldn’t hit the target. Mac was also poor I thought and vvd as well

But it’s clear we are better than last season. Our goal is top 4 and we will get that imo. We have some nice fixtures coming up to build momentum again

8 games and we played Newcastle, Brighton, Chelsea and spurs away. That’s a rough start and we are 4th

Better than last season, at least.  Lack of DM really hindered us at times.  Mac Allister did well to play the full game - thought he had a shocker.   Robertson has had a poor start to this season - a little bit on the slide.

Having said all that - if last week's shitstorm hadn't happened we'd be top so not going to get too much on their backs.

He wasn't on the line he was never ever getting there in time when the foul occurred. Go back and watch it.

Its another absolute shocker make no mistake.

Double jeopardy is for attempts to play the ball gone wrong. Not for deliberately pulling someone back who's about to score.

You can't just deliberately pull someone down who is about to score and take a yellow and a pen.

I’m glad other are seeing the diaz issue, he needs to start delivering. For example if we had mane today of old, he would have had at least a goal of not two imo

Without salah, we have no out and out scorer who is ruthless
