Why does it seem like none of these sh*t VAR calls go against City.   Every other team has been screwed over at some point.  Maybe it's just me

All the joy has been taken out of the game.  The continuity.  The instant excitement of a goal.  All gone now.

VAR should ONLY be goal line and offside. Those are objective, at least 99% of offside are.  Subjective calls are causing all these problems. Handballs , Reds  can be easily interpreted by different refs week in week out.

Virgils shot against Luton was way more of a handball than the one Man Utd got against Copenhagen. Too inconsistent to EVER sort out

That's the problem right there , 8 players touched the ball between Mac and the goal.  How far we going back , the FIRST HALF???

      VAR has destroyed this sport

Well that's how stupid the system is. Pointless sending the ref to the monitor, never seen a ref stay at the monitor for more than 10 seconds. They don't see the angles, they don't see the build up sequence. Being influenced by players, just not conducive to making close call decisions.

VAR and the Ass.VAR should make the decisions on suspect goals. They're qualified refs, two of them. They can look at the incident in it's entirety. VAR says 'goal check'....If need be then gives the decision. End of.

Don't even look forward to games anymore with it, you just know your facing another team AND VAR... was almost tempted to skip the game today and carry on gaming and see the results later... but I just can't, but wish I had.

Ha ha yes I am.like that couldn't resist and shouldn't ever feel like that just a shitshow

We dominated possession because they let us. That was their tactic, to sit deep let us have the ball, and on winning possession counter at pace.
      They done that three times
How many times did you need them to do it before they convinced you that was their game plan. 🤷‍♂️

Where did I say it wasn't their game plan? The point is that, if they felt they had better players on the pitch than us, it wouldn't have been their game plan.

Away form becoming a bit of a concern for me now. Looking back at the games and I can't find a good performance in there to be honest apart from maybe Spurs.

Chelsea, Newcastle, Wolves, Brighton, Luton in the league - don't think we played well in any of those and some of those teams really should have killed the game before we fought back. We were on the ropes at Bournemouth too and the two European games have been underwhelming.

We've come away with a few wins which is good but the performances need to improve drastically if we want to go places this season.

VAR isn’t the problem. It’s the people operating it. I thought the rules meant they couldn’t go that far back in play (Mac’s handball). Apart from that, terrible performance and complacency has crept in at the worst time.

Yep. Never agreed with this when the pundits were saying "oh that's good they've called the ref over to have a look at it". The whole advantage that VAR have is that they have the time and ability to check multiple angles etc. If they do that and think the decision is wrong, call it as wrong. Calling the ref over is a cop out option where they basically put the pressure on the ref tp change the decision without having the guts to do it themselves.

It's even more ridiculous taht soemtimes they call the ref over and sometimes they make the decision themselves. What's teh criteria for doing one or the other. It's just totally random. It should be one or the other. Either VAR makes the final call, or the ref does. Not based on how chicken the VAR guy is feeling on a given day.

I just hate this game. Var is just ruining any enjoyment.

Once again it is not the camera but the biased/visually impaired officials making the wrong decisions.

Klopp fu**ed up tonight to many weak players Gakpo isn’t strong enough without one of the bid three with him, Endo has no chance with Macallister in the middle.Matip needs the help of Virgil or Konate. as for Tsismakis words fail me. Doak was on his own.Thought Elliot tried his best tonight but was flogging a dead horse, other than the first team and one or two others the second string are left wanting

OK....iv had a few moments to digest that performance and let's be honest, it was sh*te. If we are as bad as people are suggesting then why are we only 3 points off City in the league. Klopp has work to do there is no doubt. Starting with Endo, Macca and Elliott in midfield tonight was a mistake. Let's keep cool if possible and get to Brentford with our full compliment out and see how we fare..

We miss a ball winner end of story have no stats around ground duels but Maxaklister and Endo must have lost the majority if not all . Seemed if anyone winning them was Elliott

Can’t think why. A decent manager plays to overcome an opponents weakness no matter what players he has at his disposal.
That’s surely the object of various tactics.
