Thanks mate but you can't really say similar... not being a smartarse for a change.

We had 4 trophies at our grasp, ready to be paraded as part of Jürgen's sending off and to have 3 of them blown away by our own fault, no one elses, just ours and some sh*t reffing, in the space of 3 weeks, well, that's what breaks the heart strings into a million pieces mate.

Of course I can say similar 😂

4 trophies was also at our grasp beginning of the season doesn’t mean to say it’s going to happen. 😂 let’s be realistic here! If any team wins 2 trophies in one year it’s a good season, 3 is exceptional. It was never on the cards the way you’ve been playing for the last couple of months. Scraping results against poor teams. The trebles these days are only for the cheaters of the game and even then need luck in running.

Next season will be no better looking at the changes, you better hope for a good transfer window if your to get top 4.

For me, the problem at Utd came from the very top. The puppeteers pulling the strings had those strings tangled, so whatever they did, it didn't filter down to the grassroots. You may just have solved that issue when Ratcliffe moved in. Hope I'm talking bollocks (it has been known to happen :D )

Plenty of truth in what you say Rushie and there's  no doubt in my mind it filtered down the chain.
Ratcliffe sounds like he wants to take us the right way but time will tell.

Least we've nail a CL spot but I think the Spurs game could be tight. Mo will be back I'm sure, I would also start Danns with Diaz. Spurs are not noted for their fighting qualities but  their no walkovers either. So tight 2-1.

      Quote from JD
Not quite yet.  But it would take quite a swing in goal difference.

But it didn't stop Hunter popping a gasket on LFCTV, over how we still need to secure it next season, after the opening goal was scored last weekend.

Gave me a chuckle anyway. In reality, qualification for it was wrapped up months ago.

Put these Southern poseurs away. Don't like their whispering manager. Always get preferential treatment, well not today. Normally I'd go 4/5 or so.

I was on the Kop for this glorious hammering.

The season (with Klopp leaving factored in) is the most anti-climactic end to a seas that I can remember. Today’s game was one we were all looking at weeks ago as being a big one that could make or break our season. To have limped out of the title race against the likes of palace and the bitters really stings. A win today to nail down 3rd and keep Villa off our backs would be good though. Spurs will play a ludicrously high line (I fear that our new manager is kamikaze in the same way) so it’s up to our front players to finish some of the chances that will undoubtedly come our way.

Brighton just gone 1 up vs Villa which also helps. EDIT: it was off side

Yes that’s 3rd place now guaranteed. At least it’s now a game you can sit back and watch minus the jeopardy. Time to pop a bottle of wine and hopefully the lads can give a performance, play with some freedom and give what is likely to be a muted crowd something to sing about it.

Actually don’t give an F about the result, just want to see a performance. Last few weeks have been tough but if you think about it there hasn’t really been many times this season we’ve blown teams away and everything’s just clicked. We need some changes to the first team if we want to really keep pace next season. Not taking away from the achievements of this years run, that we stayed in it for so long dealing with all the injuries and reliance on academy was a testament to how the club is run top to bottom. At home with a week to prep, expect we’ll be a different team today.

I'd made my peace with losing out on the league and then looked at the table and realised a win against Palace and Everton would have put us top with 2 to play FFS.

We've had our problems this season but it was there for the taking.

      Roll on next season.
