Sure they can. Just like this Atalanta team that's won like one game in their last 5 or 6 just did us at Anfield. It will be a whole different game there. We beat them 5-0 in Champion's League play. They'll have that on their mind. Just need to start the game with the right lineup and get after them. I'm confident we'll turn this around, you don't want to me that's your prerogative.

There goes that trip to Dublin we were all so giddy about.

From start to finish nowhere near where the team needed to be.

Wrong team selection and then out fought every step of the way by Atalanta, even with the big guns on in the second half.

Didn’t help that we were chasing the game then. Like both United games it left us open to fast counter attacks.

Well they didn't have any flags to carry so that likely sped things up.

Few P45's being dished out, poor initial team selection, poor attitude led by a lackadasical captain. Redemption is winning every remaining game, don't go out with a whimper. gutted.

It's quite easy to press us at the moment because our midfielders apart from Mac Allister aren't that good at taking the ball under pressure. Endo particularly is technically very limited. It's a far cry from the players we've had in there before.

This is it. Endo has his strengths but he is not a man to receive a pass under pressure. Jones can do that but he was a passenger in that first half. It was real basic stuff they were doing, but fair play they had the energy to keep going for the full 90. Watch them go and get humped at the weekend against FC Carbonara, and return fresh next Thursday to hound the sh*te out of us.

Difference is that at the Nou Camp we actually played well and didn't deserve a 3-0 defeat, I think we actually had more possession than Barca...this tonight was utter tripe, out enthused by tough, solid, committed side but by no means a Messi driven Barcelona

Looks like we listened to the pundits telling us we were a stick on for this cup and decided we just had to be on the pitch to win. That was a joke. Worst performance of the Klopp era. Actually scary that we can be that bad. We didn't defend, we didnt run and we couldnt pass or shoot or head the ball.

Everybody was off it. So far off it it was untrue. Robbo and Gakpo probly the only 2 that weren't absolutely rank, but there'll be no MOTM votes today.

Tanked at home by a side who we should have shown this Atalanta team what it means to wear the LFC shirt.
Not blaming one single person... collectively they were all crap.

I've said it from the very beginning of this cup. I said it last game when we twatted whoever the F**k it was 10-1 on aggragate or whatever.

Our attitude to this tournament has been shocking and it gets us into bad habits.

Not sure what's happened because Klopps Liverpool at its best has midfield control but recently it's just you attack, we attack, you attack we attack..

There's not even an attempt to control matches and it creeps from this tournament into the prem. 

So much so we were playing basketball with Shef Utd a few weeks back and we know about the games with Man Utd.

My genuine hope is the next manager installs real midfield control into this side because Jürgen seems to have forgot its Importance.

And again it's worth saying there's a documentary coming out about all this. It's looking like avid viewing for none LFC fans for a proper good laugh.

Every player tonight had a mare ! Yes we can blame Nunez for missed chances , and yes we can blame our midfield for not bossing the game , but to me … the whole team was sh*te ! Not one player gave a decent performance or seemed to care , bet Jürgen can’t wait to leave if this is what his team think is acceptable

We didn't expect to be chasing 4 trophies after having to rebuild the midfield, but this result/performance does feel like a game too far. Too many mistakes from team selection attitude and lack of respect to the opposition, plus the usual going a goal down. gutted.

Bin Nunez in the summer. For every goal he scores, he wastes 20 chances. We need someone who puts the ball in the net.

Looks worse than it is.

1. We got Jota back.  We‘re gettin loaded. 
2. Now we can treat the 2nd leg as a friendly and focus 100% on PL. It can do wonders if a team knows it has only one very shot left.
3. Every now and then you have a game like that where crap is on your boots. Be happy it was this one than vs. CP on the weekend.
4. We should look to sign this Scaramanga guy, he looks impressive.
5. Hopefully our defensive woes were made obvious to Jürgen to take some action. Our defensive fragility is obvious for weeks and just covered by sheer luck (see xGA), I hope Klopp & Linders take it as the drop to make the barrel overflow and decide to do something, anything.

Don‘t you worry. This is a „good“ loss, the one that makes you to wake up.

We have no big game players apart from Virgil it seems. No leaders at all

That was a disgraceful performance. Klopp played a stronger team against sheffield united ffs than he did a uefa QF. But that team still should have done alot better than that.

Could have been 5 or 6.

No complaints. Well beaten by a far better team. Better defensively, better on the ball. Strikers that can fcuking finish imagine that.

I will leave it there before i really go to town on some of that rubbish tonight.
