Jürgen's post match interviews usually spot on, including after defeats, but he didn't know what to say there.

Honestly can't think of anyone that played well. Gakpo was probably the most positive for me. Dom started well but faded away as did most of the other subs. Don't think any of them really made the impact they should have.

Was begging for Robertson because we were playing everything down the left through Tsimikas who was sh*te, then we put Robertson on and start playing everything down the right through Gomez.

Konate looked like he was playing injured, Virgil looked like he didn't care. Mo looked about what Mo has looked for short while now. Mac Allister looked like he needs a rest, Endo looked like he a player that was caught completely unaware that the other team was actually allowed to press him. Kelleher...I'd like to see just how much time we wasted this evening either passing it back to him, him holding the ball waiting for someone to come open or him booting it over the heads of our players. We missed Ali big time tonight. We missed Bobby and Sadio as well. Wonder what they are up to.

First off, anyone thinks we got beat because of goalkeeper, knows feck all about football, end of!!!!!
Atalanta are a poor side, any 'normal' Liverpool team would wipe the floor with them....
We lost by putting out the poorest team possible, completely disjointed, out of positions, and man for man marked.
In possession we walked around (man marked) , long balls and back passes to players (man marked).
Nobody occupied their normal areas, we were wide open. My main concern was that second half we did exactly the same.....
Next week , movement against man marking, movement into space, passes into space, creating flow......
On form we could still beat this team, score first and anything could happen. At least go down fighting if nothing else.

Bit of complacency. Getting Atalanta was looked on as a good draw. Not doing great in their league.I bought into it to be fair.Had it down as a 4-0 stroll. Wasn't the only one. Seems like the team, the club bought into as well.

That's it for the Europa. League is all that matters now and if we twaddle out in some kind of horlicks like trance against Palace we'll struggle to get the 3 pts.

Someone needs to drum into these players it's a privilege to play for LFC...It's not just job...a paycheque...It means more here.
Truth is there's at least a handful who are just not up to the standard required, and the one's who have proven themselves over numerous seasons are naturally, and sadly starting to fade.

It feels like we’ve had a beating like that coming for a while. The lack of defensive nous and organisation throughout when we lose possession, the ‘shall we/shan’t we’ approach to playing our offside trap, the amount of times opponents break through several of our attempted tackles, the number of our players taken out of the game by a simple pass, the dawdling in possession.
When teams get chances against us they look too easy to miss and are usually down to big individual errors not opposition quality. Tonight, Atalanta were quality and largely outplayed us but we still gifted them all their chances. So casual.

Whoever replaces Jürgen I hope they have the football intelligence the Atalanta coach showed. Got to give him credit.
