Sam Allardyce - West Ham manager
      Jan 09, 2008 05:45:22 pm
Just come on Sky Sports News that Newcastle have parted company with Sam Allardyce.

      http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10278~1210966,00.html

Ridiculous if you ask me. Not sure how he was supposed to shape his own side in such a small amount of time.

      BBC Linky

      Boss Allardyce leaves Newcastle
Newcastle have parted company with manager Sam Allardyce.
The club, currently 11th in the Premier League, said the decision had been reached by "mutual agreement".

Allardyce, who was in charge for just eight months, said: "I am disappointed to be leaving Newcastle but I wish the club all the best for the future."

Former captain Alan Shearer has been strongly linked with the post but chairman Chris Mort said: "A new manager has not yet been appointed."

First team coach Nigel Pearson will take charge of the team for Saturday's Premier League meeting with Manchester United.

The good part is they already have a new england manager. :)

He was the wrong man for the job in my opinion. The fans were never going to be happy with his style of play. I think the board know that now and it's better to make that change sooner rather than later.

Idiotic chairmen they have. Such a big mistake, Big Sam is definately the man to rescue a team like Newcastle and bring them up the table, a la Bolton.

No problem with that though. Those Geordies are getting a reality check, thinking they're good enough for Europe...  :lmao: :lmao:

Newcastle are a very silly club.  The silliest of clubs.

Sacking a manager so soon, even if he was a complete tool, is yet another idiotic decision taken up there.

Newcastle certainly know how to go through their managers.Put your money on Newcastle to beat Manure, what a turn up that would be. Just imaginr the look on Fergusons face getting beat bt a team with no manager. ;D

Could not agree more. Newcastle have the most unrealistic expectations out of any of the teams in the league. The fans expect to be challenging for trophies, yet they have no real history of being a trophy winning club.

Have they not learned that constantly changing manager is not the way to build a winning side. They need to give the manager at least 2-3 seasons to have any chance of challenging for trophies.

I personally thought he would be spending christmas with his family, and scoffing turkey jobless, but hey I was only a couple of weeks off!

Even though he only had 6 months which is not nearly enough, but this was another mistake by their board as his style of football does not match that of the fans.  However, another idiot that tried to have a shot at Benitez gone to the guillotine! :lmao:

Yes, mary poppins (Shearer) would be the ideal man to take that club forward to the championship!

True I apologise to the wankers of the world and regret implying any affiliation with them and the dirty mancs ! :lmao:

I agree about Houllier. He was supposed to be a front runner to manage Ireland but since that whole thing fell through, this job seems pretty ideal for him.

I also think that Houllier could do well, but them Jeordies don't know what they want! He'll need time and at St James park they don't have diaries, they have stop watches!

Ha ! Houllier would definitley be better in the long run but shearer would obviously fit in straight away at the club. They dont have God in Newcastle, they just have alan shearer ! ::)

After 24 games getting the sack...pure stupidity. Newcastle is rubbish, they always been rubbish and will always be rubbish. Please give the job to Shearer, I cannot' wait to see him failing as a coach, I think when Sam got the sack Shearer probably said something like " he will be disappointed with that!".. ::) :D In all honesty, I don't think he would even have the guts to take on the job.

As for Houllier, I very much doubt so, he has a top job at the Federation Francaise de Football, acting as number 3 of the French Federation of Football....
