      RIP Bob.

      Greatest ever? These European Cup teams stand comparison with Barcelona

      Liverpool 1977-81

      Managed by the genial Bob Paisley, this was the most ruthless side Anfield has produced. Tight at the back – the 1979 title winners conceded 16 goals in 42 games – they also knew how to exploit space in attack, no one more so than Kenny Dalglish, the team's talisman and scorer in the 1-0 win over Club Brugge at Wembley in 1978. Alan Kennedy, a full-back, got the winner in the 1-0 win over Real Madrid in the 1981 final – their third title – highlighting the all-round threat of Paisley's men.

      The greatest manager of all time - RIP Bob.

      3 in 5 years me thinks it was.

      The Whiskey Nose is still trying. And failing.

      SIR Bob Paisley - well and truly still on his perch and is certainly not coming off it anytime soon.

      Just heard the usual bollocks about Ferguson emulating Bob's record of 3 European Cups well got f**king news for all those in the media;

      Bob Paisley won three won three European Cups in 5 seasons not over a f**king decade like that classless Scottish c**t up the East Lancs.

      Bob never lost a European Cup final unlike that gobs***e Ferguson.

      Bob won back to back to European Cups, something Ferguson has never done.

      Bob won the League every year to get into the European Cup (76, 77 and 80) unlike that tw*t who finished 2nd last year and finished 2nd in 98 before their success in 99.

      Bob Paisley won the European Cup three years after taking charge, not 13 like Ferguson.

      So Ferguson emulating Bob? Not a f**king chance.

      Some people on this forum save me the time of typing out a response, almost word for word as i would have put it myself. This post was one of them. Absolutely top class post and most importantly, as stated by waltonl4, the truth.

      As usual,is right fellas.Sir Bob took us to the next level, built upon the work of Shank's boot room. They have a Dictator, who has bullied his way to relative success,I don't see a f*cking Dynasty left in his wake. The man's a hard faced gobsh*te,nothing more, nothing less.

       Bob Paisley also got an FA Amateur Cup Winners medal in 1939 as an amateur player for Bishop Auckland, like a lot of players he missed out on 6 years football due to the second world war.So you see Bob was a winner before he even turned professional.

      He also won the UEFA Cup in 76 - so 3 Major European trophies in 3 CONSECUTIVE seasons, 4 in 6 overall.

      Best British Manager of all time.
