      Is History Repeating It's Self?
      Feb 16, 2008 05:17:15 pm
In Rafa's first season it was'nt really the best around this time but we went on to win europe

There are many factors that have been reacuring

      1. Got knocked out of the F.a cup by a lower league side
      2. Got beaten by Chelsea in the Carling Cup
      3. In a battle with Everton for 4th place (where also 3 points behind them at this points in the season)
      4. Dramatic Champions league group (scraped through both times)
      5. Well out of the running for the title
      6. Got drawn against a massive Italian team and played at home 1st leg

Hopefully we will now go on to win the champions league for a 6th time

(or am I just clutching at straws??)

What you are really saying is....four years on and no progress. Getting worse if you ask me. We could'nt have hoped for a softer F.A. cup draw,Luton,Havant and Waterlooville and a home 5th round tie with Barnsley. Wrong...nobody told that to Barnsley, how many more poor results will it take before this clown goes? we will be lucky to finish in 4th place in the league, even another Champions league wo'nt paper over the cracks this time.

Define no progress? If you remember rightly, in the season we won the Champions League, we went out of the FA Cup at the first hurdle in the 3rd round.

Fingers crossed it's an omen, I remember enough of them in 2005 so it would be nice again wouldn't it?

And a 6th European Cup? That would paper over the cracks f*cking nicely to be honest with you mate

Its clear we have made prgress because before Rafa we werent even getting to semi finals of the champions league and now we have been in 2 finals in 3 seasons. I think thats the same as sir alex has had in 22 years at united. Consistency is the key. Cant blame rotation because we were 1 point behind united and just a few behind chelsea one season along with an fa cup and 2 champions league finals. If rotation didnt work then that would not  of happened. A few world class signings and some consitency we will win it all ;D

I hope history does repeat itself, or I can't see Rafa having the job beyond the summer.

      hahaha or Nottingham!

We will win it, i have confidence in our side to go for it. They want a trophy and the CL is our target, since when is it a bad season after winning the CL? Thats what I dont get! Fans slate us for only being good in Europe, since when was it ONLY a CL cup? Most prestigous cup in Europe and we dont want it? Come on BOYS!
