just done a count on word and if we haven't used the same player twice then there's 221 different players. Don't know how many players we've had over the years but I imagine it'll be nearer 500 than we've currently got in the poem

I always use Liverweb for all my info Kenny. The fella who runs it, Andrew, works with me mam at JMU that's how I found about it.

:O you've never heard of Ferri. He was some french fella Houllier brought over. There was a big fuss about him because his name was Ferri which is obviously what Liverpool's famous for, our lovely Ferry..."ferry cross the mersey" and all that.

      Going The Match

      Waking up a Saturday morning
With the sun glaring in my eyes
Another day standing on the Kop
      Reaching the unthinkable highs

On goes the shirt with 8 on the back
Kiss the badge going down the stairs
Seeing me dad decked out in scarves and hats
Me asking if he had any spares

Down Dexter Street on to Park Road
      To grab bus number 27
To take us back to second home
To take right back to Heaven

The names coming over the tannoy
The entire crowd cheering each name
      40 thousand different Liverpool fans
      All feeling exactly the same

Loving the Reds and wishing for a win
And then we belt out You’ll Never Walk Alone
90 minutes of mixed emotions but still a win
And then it’s time for the bus back home

      The entire bus singing along
As we all head into town
      Hoping and believing
That this year we get the Premiership crown
