Im happy with that draw.
Sounds like it should be an easy enough tie and if I'm correct, Belgium isnt that far?
Hey, greetings from Belgium, I joined this forum to give some info on standard Liege (although I'm not a fan of the club)
Of course Belgium is "not that far" we are practically neighbours, you can see the English coast from the Belgian coast on a day with clear skies. London-Brussels is under 2 hours with the eurostar.
They were the deserved champions in Belgium last year, and they have a very young team, the captain Steven Defour is only 19 years old. However some of the best young players in the team will be playing in the Beijing Olympics since they were part of the Belgian under 21 team that reached the semi-finals of the european -21 cup last year, so the team will be weakened by that. They play in the Sclessin stadium, which holds 30,000 people and their fans are considered some of the most loyal fans of Belgium, even by other teams. Liege is a city that is about 45 minutes train ride from Brussels. There are direct trains to Liege from all the Brussels train stations including the one at Brussels airport.
Of course Liverpool should easily win this game. I would say there is definitely some talent in this team, but obviously not as much as Liverpool and most players are young and unexperienced.
Hope that helps!
