Greetings from Virginia, USA.

I have finally convinced my wife to let me try to go to a Liverpool match.  The only weekend we could do it this season would be 18-10-2008 vs Wigan Athletic.  I am an e-Season holder.  Is that ballot likely our only chance to go?  If I miraculously win the ballot can I purchase two tickets? 

I also saw that Thomas Cook has a package but it would be around 600USD and include a night in Liverpool which we probably wouldn't be able to do.  We would fly there Fri night / Sat morning to Manchester, train to Liverpool and then back after the match.

Thanks for any help.  This might be my only chance as the missus wants to get pregnant and then no more football!

I'm a Werder Bremen supporter but also a fan of Liverpool FC.
I know it is very hard to get match tickets, but as I travel to Liverpool in Oct, just like to know if anybody (hopefully from Liverpool) might help me to get 2 tix for the match against Wigan Athletic on Oct 18th.
I would pay up to 50 Pounds for a ticket.

Cant believe the trouble us fans have trying to get tickets.  The ticketing system needs to be one of the first things they sort out.  I'm sure there's only 3 people answering the phone.  What pisses me off is, they go right through all the fixtures and selling arrangements then tell you that all the operators are busy, please try again later    

No wonder all our phone bills are up are arms

I too am looking for tickets for the Liverpool Wigan on the 18th Oct. I am travelling over from Belfast. My wife had arranged this as a surprise 40th Birthday present - she had booked the Hotel and Flight and then when the tickets went on general sale - she phoned immediately at 8:30am and repeatly during the day but could not get through until she was told they were sold out.

So I would really appreciate if anyone can help us out

I have also applied for some via the postal ballot - but not that hopeful?

Is it worthwhile going  to the ticket office on the day of the game or the day before?

Joe, If you are still looking I have available 1 (sorry only one!!) spare ticket for the Wigan gam ein the Anfield Road end Block 127 (lower). I will travel from the south on the day an dbe near the ground at about 12pm. Please let me know if you want it ASAP otherwise I'll return to the box office.

If your member looks like quite a few areas have opened up in the exchange, lower kop seats and very good main stand seats too

Still looking for 2 tix for this game. Will fly out to England Thursday morning.
