In Car CD CHanger, Help Required
      Sep 21, 2008 03:10:28 pm
Afternoon all, I am thinking of getting an in car CD changer. I don’t know too much about fitting these things. Does any one know how easy are they to fit, I have a X-type Jag, do they have a universal plug for these things, or am I looking at an “expert” to fit it?

Thanks in advance to any one who can help.

Is it one of those boot jobbies?

If so I'd find a specialist shop and get it fitted - had a mate who got one of these boot ones fitted, and he was a bit of a techy, and he got an independent to fit it for him.

The other question is - in these days of MP3 and iPod connections - whats the desire for a CD changer?

Me mate's done the same thing with his Seat Cordoba. He l;eft it in the back, connected but just on the floor!

He had to buy a bracket to actually fit the thing to the side of the boot, which he found out as he bought his second one! ::) You live and learn! :D

Hopfully it will be a boot one, but one that can play MP3 files, so you can imagine the amount of songs that will hold!, I guess I'll be off to Halfords then.

A What? :o If its a CD player that plays MP3's, can't as the radio/CD is built in.

Why not just plug your MP3 player in and have it mounted on your dash?

Jag Dask has no input ports that I am aware of, Built in.

You can buy decicated fascia surrounds now for any car.
Basically, it'll allow you to remove the 'built in stereo' you have, and place a standard sized stereo in it's place.
It'll work out a lot cheaper mate.
