I'm embarrassed that it's taken me until now to realise it's a Dad's Army final with Sgt Wilson and Lance Corporal Jones! (even more so because Clive Dunn's character is actually called Jack Jones)

Kyren got in first but ran out of position slightly, snookering himself on anything pottable. A lucky snooker behind the green from Jones, left Wilson in all sorts of trouble and his failed attempt left Jones with a great chance to pull another back. He made a bit of a mess of the chance, missing a black off it's spot and leaving Wilson back in amongst them. But Kyren ran out of position again and gifted the frame back to Jones.

Jak wins it is now back to five behind.

      Wilson 10-5.

Kyren breaks off, leaves the long red which Jones knocks in and for the one of the few times this tournament he wins the frame in one visit and gets back to within four of The Warrior.

      Wilson 10-6.

Final frame of the evening is going to be huge now.

Well, Jones has done superbly to put this much value on the last frame of the day. Quite a salvage job this evening if he wins it.

Kyren's missed the green, chance for Jones to close the night to within 3 frames.

Some very good snooker by Jones in this 17th frame.

Looked like it was going to be a carbon copy of the previous frame but with the roles reversed. Jones breaks off, leaves the long red, Wilson knocks it in before winning the frame in one visit and ends the night on a high having got his lead back to four. But instead Wilson missed a tricky green after going into the pack and landing on nothing easy. The miss left Jones in with a great chance that he took very well to get to just within three.

      Barring snookers.

      Wilson 10-7.

Tomorrow isn't as much of a formality as it looked around 4 o'clock this afternoon but Wilson still in a commanding position.

Wilson misses the pink by a F***ing mile but gets away with it.

Wilson needs both pink and black, Jones just the pink.

That will hurt Jones no end.

Not so much about not enjoying it but more about attracting a wider audience so we get more people into in for the first time. Along with darts I feel it's one of those which is easily casted aside in favour of your footballs, boxings or crickets.

So close to winning that frame. Would have been huge to win it...did he need to take the risk? Was jumping between this and the f1!

The prize of getting to just 3 back overnight was too big to have risked that double...should have kept it safe and made Wilson work harder for it....
...Having said that why did he hit the yellow so hard when it was game ball?
